My girlfriend desperately wants a MAC but we can't afford that shit so i'm thinking like an i3 macintosh build :P

I have a Macbook Pro, and love the shit out of it. It's literally falling apart though. So I'm thinking of saving up and getting a nice gaming laptop, and building a Hackintosh, so I can still program on OS X. Then I wont be limited to the cheaper Macbook Pro's.

Seems like a good option but I can tell it will be hard work if we go through with it..

It's hard if you either A) Don't know what you're doing and don't have help, or B) Are doing it with custom hardware.
