  14. One of the lessons I learned as a young child. You have to stop dreaming about what others have, and being jealous. You need to start apprciating what you do have. For there are others in far worse positions than you.

  17. Just get her the Mac Mini with the best CPU, and add one of those thunderbolt GPU enclosures. So then she can play her games and be all set. One of these would do the trick http://www.sonnettech.com/product/echoexpress3d.html I'd than grab like a 960, and call it a day.

  20. Trying to catch up? Apple has the most used and most profitable media service on the planet. Apple is ahead of the curve in most marketing aspects of business out there. While I don't really agree with their high costs, their ability to move units shows how successful they are. You're hating on them because you don't like them, not because their products are shit.
  21. The problem you're going to face when loading a Linux OS onto a tablet that isn't built for it is driver support. I doubt you'll be able to install Linux on that tablet, just because I doubt you'll find drivers.
  22. I'd go with the Macbook, I had one of the white ones from 2009, thing was awesome. The Core 2 Duo will preform basically the same, if not better than the i3, due to clock speeds, though it's not hyper-threaded. Another reason is build quality, HP's home line-up has never been known for quality. Another thing i forgot to add, though it's not officially supported, You can use 8GB of RAM in the Macbook.
  23. I'm for sure not the guy you're looking for. You'd be looking likely in the million+ dollar area ( If you were to buy and not rent). You'd need hundred(s) of server. I'd try contacting a company, and asking them, what game server hosting in the area of 10000+ users at any given time would cost.
  24. Nevermind the server infrastructure. the software to do all of that the costs to get running would be astronomical. Nevermind the loop holes you'd have to jump through to actually get off the ground, be it from licensing, and everything else. For 10000 people to play on a server, you'd need different servers, you have to load balance, and you'd be looking at hundreds of thousands.
