  1. You'll still have plenty of room. I've run 2x280x's + 3770K overclocked to the snot on an 850W with no issues.
  2. You're going to need to go with dual CPU do actually have the lanes. Let me do some further looking for you. I've never needed to know about 16x(x4) so I'll take a look for you and find you a decent board. What's your overall budget? Are you planning to use Tesla's? Or something similar, hence the 16X requirement? or?
  3. You wont need a 1000W for dual SLI / CFX. 850 is more than enough for most card. especially the 270X.
  4. Don't. Cold Pizza is life.
  5. I'd go Desktop. I don't know or understand why you're going to spend that much on monitors if you don't have the horsepower to push it. You'd be better off saving more for a desktop.
  6. I wasn't sure if the lower end I5's had been released yet.
  7. If you don't have the intentions to overclock. Just grab a decent H97/H170 board with a I5-6600, and you'll be set.
  8. The best CPU that was available for the LGA 1155 Platform is the 3770K. They can be found on eBay.
  9. Razors are bloody expensive...

  10. Meh. It's an okay "Deal". I just spent 750$ CAD, with tax and shipping on a 980.
  11. Hello friends, I bought this just now and this yesterday: (An AMD Athlon 5350) Gonna be building an Steam In-Home streaming computer / HTPC for Netflix. May be adding a 750Ti to this in the future if it's not working well enough with the Athlon's integrated graphics.
  12. Hello friends. I'm looking to get into Star Citizen, a little more than I already have. I haven't really looked to deeply into it. However I have already purchased the RSI Aurora MR. It also looks like I bought an Arena Commander Pass. I was thinking about putting another 100-200, and was looking for suggestions as to what I should get. I'm not really 100% sure about what I'd like to do in the game, I just think it looks rather neat, and was wanting more information. Thanks guys.
  13. Almost everyone I know who use's AMD processors has had some issue with the fact AMD uses a single crappy temp sensor in all their CPU's.
  14. Are you kidding me? AMD literally is known for shitty temperature sensors, they always display the wrong temps. https://www.google.com/search?q=amd+bad+temp+sensors&oq=amd+bad+temp+sensors&aqs=chrome..69i57.2727j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8
  15. It's actually not that Mac's can't get virus' it's more that Virus' are more commonly written for Windows because if you're going to exploit someone or you're going to trying and get information, why go for the second least used platform. Mac's can get virus' they are just less common.
  16. I want him to get a half decent motherboard.
  17. SSD's in my opinion are mandatory. Plus he wants one anyway.
  18. That's what I was wondering about. I wasn't sure about this generation of AMD Cards. Wasn't sure if AMD would be better.
  19. Hey guys, A buddy of mine wants to get back into PC gaming. I've offered to help him, however it's been a while since I've planned a build, just wanted a second opinion on what i was thinking he should get. He has a 1000$ budget for the CPU, GPU, Storage, and Motherboard. The rest of the parts I have extra's and i'm going to be giving them to him free of charge. So for 1080p 60hz. I figured he should get something like this: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($308.50 @ shopRBC) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($164.98 @ Newegg Canada) Storage: A-Data XPG SX900 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($74.98 @ DirectCanada) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($89.94 @ DirectCanada) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked+ ACX 2.0 Video Card ($379.99 @ Memory Express) Total: $1018.39 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-09-29 19:54 EDT-0400 What do you guys think?
