SU26Crashing's Achievements

  1. Recently purchased a new laptop, and the WNDR3700v1 finally stopped transmitting 2.4ghz after I used the WPS "feature" (never used it previously) perhaps just the age of the router. The 5ghz is unstable.. I've been looking at the R7000 for a replacement, I don't need (or will use) advanced functions but need it to be solid as a home router. I'm in grad school,a stable connection is more important than features at this point. The WNDR3700 was solid, the firmware got the job done, but based on reviews ~15% of these routers are defective. Any other routers I should be considering?
  2. Just upgraded a GTX 560 with the R9 380 (MSI Radeon R9 380 DirectX 12 R9 380 GAMING 4G 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support ATX Video Card). If your replacing a Nvidia card, remember to completely uninstall the geforce drivers before removing the card. Had to reinstall the card to get rid of the drivers. You'll read a lot about noise issues with this card, I have not seen any issues, it'll sit idle at ~30 deg C, and hits 60-70 before the fans cool it back down. My case has dual 120 mm fans and good airflow. The card performs great on Assassins Creed Syndicate.
  3. After Further reading, I'll go with the R9 380. It has a better cost/performance ratio. Probably gonna do this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127913&cm_re=R9_380-_-14-127-913-_-Product Thanks Everyone!
  4. Which Brand are you partial too? Sapphire, Asus, MSI?
  5. What about the heat issues? Fans at full speed during gaming?
  6. Looks like either 550 watts (recommended PSU) for the 380 vs 400 watt (psu) for the 960. Should be covered with a 700 watt PSU?
  7. Looking for GPU suggestions. I've recently installed an SSD which conveniently came with AC Syndicate, my GTX 560 (2GB) handled it for awhile, but now it keeps crashing out (And I played through AC-Black Flag since I was hooked). My system is older, Intel Core I5-2500k (3.30 GHZ/6MB L3 Cache), 8 Gb DDR3 1600 ram. I'm looking at the future, and don't expect to have this computer for more than a few years, so I don't want to dump a bunch of money into it, but still want to play AC-Syndicate (I am willing to play at lower performance settings). I've been looking at the GTX 960 4gb ram (~$210), is this a good call? The R9 380 is another option, however after reading about issues with drivers I'm avoiding it, even though it's performance is slightly better?
