  2. Hi guys! I wanted your help regarding Thermaltake PSUs and in debunking some myths. I build my 1st system around a year ago and I got myself a Thermaltake Litepower 550W PSU for my system since I was going to pair it with my Sapphire R7 370. Now at the time I just got into PC building and did not know nearly as much as I do now but in recent weeks i've come to learn that they aren't as popular as other branded PSUs like Corsair,Antec or Cooler Master. I wanted to understand where lies the difference between Thermaltake PSUs and other brands of PSUs. Also what does the term"LitePower" mean?
  3. Damn awesome stuff right here! Really like the slick and simple look on that mouse not overly flashy Currently I'm using a Thermaltake Challenger Prime Keyboard,A really simple Havit HV-MS 672 gaming mouse and my headset is the Microlab K320 and lastly A Thermaltake Ttesports mouse pad
  4. Hi! I know this is not the place to be asking this exactly but I don't know where else to go. So for the past couple of months my Plays.TV app won't let me record sessions or gameplay highlights of some games ( eg AC4,the Witcher 3, League of Legends etc) but for some weird reason it works with other stuff(Darksiders 2, Skyrim, Ori and the Blind forest etc etc). i 've tried sending a ticket to their support system but that didn't help as they still haven't replied( been months now),tried reinstalling and didn't didnt change a thing and even their forums didn't have any solutions for me that actually worked. So for anyone here with AMD cards(or not doesn't matter) using the Plays.TV service, have any of you faced this and could you help me if you know how to fix this problem? My biggest issue is that I can't record League of Legends gameplay and thats what this thing is built for!( I play on the Garena SEA server) My Specs CPU: AMD FX-6100 at 3.3 GHz GPU: Sapphire R7 370 2GB DDR5 RAM: 8GB DDR3 at 1600mhz Storage: Toshiba 1GB HDD
  5. I did reinstall windows 7and defragment my harddrive andnothing changed and yes it's probably a good idea to test a new hard drive
  6. Hi guys...So I've been having this problem of my PC for several months but I really have no idea what the issue is...Basically I bought my system a little over a year ago and for as long as I can remember every now and then whenever I use my PC it would freeze for about a minute and then just return to normal.I don''t have anything in my system overclocked and I've run programs like memtest to check for RAM issues but I'd like to know what are the reasons my 1 year old PC could be freezing and how do I pinpoint the source of the problem? My Specs CPU-AMD FX-6100 at 3.3 GHZ GPU-SAPPHIRE R7 370 2GB DDR5 RAM-TEAM GB DDR3 at 1600Mhz HDD-TOSHIBA 1TB MOTHERBOARD-MSI 970A G-43 M PSU-THERMALTAKE LITEPOWER 550W Note I bought my GPU and changed my motherboard within the past 6 months and this problem existed from way before so I don't think it's either of them. I suspect it's my harddisk since memtest said my RAMs were alright but I need to know for sure. Thanks again guys!
  7. If your budget is really tight I'd say go for the GTX 950... I would've bought that myself since I also have a budget build pc but that card came a few months after I bought my PC.However if had more money to spare i would definitely get myself a GTX 960 coz it really does give some of the best bang for the buck.
  8. I was playing Witcher 3 earlier today at custom high settings with Nvidia Hairworks turned off and my Sapphire R7 370 was around 70-75 degrees. Now while this is higher than I would like for it to be the average temperature of where I live is 33-35 degrees so i guess it makes sense. However I'd like to know of ways turn down my GPU temperature preferably, an economic and ethical solution.Could I utilize MSI afterburner to tone things down? I realize that getting a better case with better airflow is the first step but are there others? Also what temperatures should I expect on my GPU running AAA games like GTA V, Witcher 3, DA Inquisition,Far Cry 4 running at high settings? Specs CPU-AMD FX 6100 at 3.3 GHz GPU-Sapphire R7 370 2GB RAM-8GB of DDR3 at 1600Mhz HDD- 1TB Toshiba PSU-Thermaltake Litepower 550W Black Edition MOTHERBOARD: MSI 970A G-43
  9. Hi everyone thanks for all your replies..Around some time yesterday I posted a question here in the forums about CPU temperatures( like a lot of people) of my AMD FX-6100 running at 3.3 GHz with a stock cooler. Well now I have a different question..while updating League of Legends today I notice that my temperature is well above 60 degrees and the same thing occurred again when I was installing some other games. Besides that it was well around the idle temperatures I posted above. The question now I guess is this also normal?
  10. Hi everyone..so I live in a south-asian country where the average temperature is around 33-35 degrees Celsius...Was wondering if my system's average temperatures are normal in different scenarios. When idle it's usually around 30-40 and even above that sometimes and when I'm playing League of Legends it's 50-60 degrees and then games like Witcher 3 it goes up to 70 . My PC is just over a year old I've and been using a stock cooler for my AMD FX-6100 processor. My system is I guess you could call somewhere between low-mid tier budget build PC but here are the specs My specs AMD FX-6100 processor at 3.3 Ghz Sapphire R7 370 2GB GPU 8GB of Team DDR3 RAM at 1600Mhz MSI 970A G-43 motherboard 1TB Toshiba HDD Appreciate all your help guys.
  11. Hi everyone, got another general question. I was thinking of purchasing a new antivirus for my system and I don't know what to go with. I've used Kaspersky for many years and was fairly satisfied and then I tried using the Bitdefender Internet Security(Student Edition) which was not at all to my liking..for some reason it took forever to install and i had a lot of gripes with it that I won't get into right now..So I'd like some general advice on what I ought to be looking for when I purchase a new antivirus. Also could someone explain if there are any key differences between an antivirus and an Internet security?
  12. Thanks everyone for all your all help and advice
  13. So this question has probably been asked like a billion times, but I'm still unclear regarding the issue. I've always been using Windows 7 since 2012 and I never really bothered to switch to Windows 8. Now that Windows 10 has been out for quite some time, would it be necessary to change my OS? I mean how much impact does operating system really have on the current games we are playing? Are there any differences in performances between Win7,8 and 10 when ti strictly comes to gaming? My Specs: CPU;AMD FX-6100 Processor GPU:Sapphire R7 370 2GB RAM:8GB of DDR3 AT 1600MHz HDD: Toshiba 1TB
