You'll be totally fine. I have an i7-4790K (delidded and undervolted)  and a GTX 1080 Founders Edition (overclocked)  and don't have issues. However the difference with my setup is I'm using the Thermolab LP53 cpu cooler with the Noctua NF-a9x14 fan. It's quite a bit better than the typical nh-l9i. Other than that I recommend a high quality thermal paste like Thermal Grizzly Cryonaut.

10th week of Sentry manufacturing process

Just like we predicted, this week wasn't as productive as it could be, mostly because of the "long weekend" in Poland. We couldn't contact with our subcontractors, shipping companies or even customs services, but first things first:

Last week we started shipping process of first 150 orders with black cases. We divided the transport into 2 parts: transport inside and outside EU. Worldwide shipping was registered as "Posted" yesterday. Today we have found out that our transport company may not sent you tracking data for your packages, so just in case we sent you those numbers. Now is the time for EU shipment, which is a tricky part.

In EU we have planned faster and cheaper courier shipping than what we have from national post. We are processing those shipments through a single intermediary company that is giving us a batch order discount. We started the shipping process of this 2nd part of packages and yesterday it turned out it was stopped as a batch. The reason is quite simple: in this transport there were 6 people who didn't give us their phone numbers. It shouldn't be a problem, but... we are ordering a transport with insurance. In that case most courier companies require direct phone contact with the recipient of the package. We sent messages to those 6 people with missing phone numbers and when we will get them we will also get new tracking numbers for all of those packages. That is the main reason why some people from first black Sentry cases transport didn't receive their tracking numbers via email. We hope we will solve this problem on Monday. If not, on Tuesday we will send this transport without those 6 packages.

Next subject: white cases. On Friday we contacted our 2nd paint shop to ask if the metal parts are painted. Unfortunately this is one of the companies whose long weekend ends after this Sunday, so they will start painting first 150 white units on Monday. We have no influence on that

On Friday we received 2nd transport of black Sentry body parts.

Finally, we were asked to show some photos from last week how we prepared your packages. Here you are:

We also have some bonus photos from yesterday. We didn't want to waste time on waiting and we started the production of stands for 2nd transport of Sentry cases:

Worried? Worried about what? They will get your sentries to you as soon as they're ready. The small delay is just waiting for painting of the white Sentry. They'll probably ship both at the same time to save on shipping costs so the black one will wait to be shipped with the white one. I'm sure the Ząber guys will update everyone as soon as the white Sentries are painted.

9th week of Sentry manufacturing process

This is a late weekend update but this is the one everyone was waiting for: shipping process begun!!!

As many of you probably noticed, for the last few days we were locking shipping address change option in your indiegogo accounts. This action was taken for the orders from 1 to 300 with black Sentry cases. You will receive email with tracking number when it will be active, after polish "long weekend". In this moment we have to tell you some good and bad news.

Good news is we filled most of the shipping forms for those first 150 black Sentry orders and we are waiting for shipping companies to pick them from us. We have also started preparations for next transport of cases in the following weeks.

The bad news is we have a "long weekend" in Poland (29.04-3.05, or even to 7.05 for some companies). We mentioned it before and we thought it could be a problem. Many manufacturers simply don't work in this time and we have problems with many things. One of the issues is painting white Sentry cases. This week we sent unpainted steel elements for the another 150 orders to our external
    paintshop.

We still didn't receive them back. What is more, because of this long weekend we predict we won't receive them before the end of next week. Even in case we will be able to pick them on next Thursday or Friday, it still means we won't have enough time to check them and pack them for the next transport this week. What we want to say is that, even if we kept our promise and we started shipping process in April, we predict there will be a delay with sending packages, mostly because of the long waiting time for white cases being painted by our external paint shop. This is an issue we discussed many times in our forums, and this is also a reason why we see white Sentry cases as limited edition.  We apologise for this situation and we hope there will be a possibility to compensate this delay within next weeks.

Ok. Now is the time to explain why we had this small delay with this update. On Thursday and on Friday we had online meetings with ladies who were teaching us how to use shipping and customs services software. It takes a lot of time to fill your shipping details and this is why we didn't have time to make this update earlier.

    Here are some bonus photos:

7th week of Sentry manufacturing process

Do you remember when in our last update we said that last week was "one of the most busy weeks so far"? We didn't really know what was waiting for us This time we were sorting those ~98 000 screws we told you about, and we almost finished it. We also received other elements for Sentry accessory boxes, which we also inserted in separate protection bags. What is more at the end of the week we received first transport of black Sentry bodies! We willl be unpacking them and controlling their quality as we proceed with final product completion in following weeks.

Like we mentioned, this was still an "accessory box week" with sorting some stuff:
    - all types of M3 screws

    - plastic feet for horizontal mounting and plastic covers for holes unused in vertical position

We also received some of the last elements of the puzzle:
    - first transport of printed carton boxes

    - PCI slot covers

    - Sentry simplified quick start manual and warranty card (last time we received only samples)

After Easter holidays we will check first part of black Sentry bodies and start packing them into the boxes, while we will still be waiting for the unpainted Sentrys, to send them to the paint shop. If everything goes well, within next 2 weeks we will start shipping packages according to the plan we gave you during the campaign.

5th week of Sentry manufacturing process

This probably won't surprise you, but we are still waiting for some key elements like risers, rubber feet or even carton boxes of every kind (some of them are currently kept by customs services, who are waiting for some documents from our suppliers). We also wanted to start moving into our newly rented premises from the 1st of April, but since it is weekend, we will have to wait until Monday.

This time we received some bigger packages:
-new transport foams (our current warehouse is almost full

    -internal power cables,

    - laser engraved aluminium labels (nameplates),

    - samples of Sentry simplified quick start manual,

We are almost at the finish-line with the most of the ordered elements. We hope next week we will have all of the needed parts so we will be able to start the assembling process.

As a bonus to this update, below you can find some photos showing Demciflex filters installed in/on Sentry:

4th week of Sentry manufacturing process

We are still in the period of receiving packages and organisation of production. We just rented the premises near our office where Sentry will be assembled, packaged and stored before the ride to your homes. We also received some more elements from the lists showed before.
    This week we received:
    - 2 mm allen wrenches,

    - USB 3.0 extension cables,

    - package-foiling machine for printed carton boxes (like we said before, security of your package is very important for us. Packaging Sentry carton box in heat shrink foil will make an additional barrier against eventual moisture during the transport).

What is more, we received samples of DEMCiflex magnetic dust filters designed especially for Sentry. You will be able to order them directly from DEMCifilter after we will test those samples to make sure the designs are okay.

Meanwhile we talked with our metal parts subcontractor and we predict we will get first transport of steel elements for accessory boxes on the 4th of April. We will get all of those smaller parts at once and on the following week we should start getting Sentry main body parts. Things are getting serious

the 1070 should be fine but your problem is going to be CPU cooler height. I highly recommend a non-k skew or even a low power skew. CPU performance these days doesn't matter nearly as much as it used to. As long as its 4 cores and 3+ Ghtz it'll run anything

Same here. Didn't have any card info on file with Indiegogo so that took an extra 90 seconds. By the time it was submitted it went from 10 backers to me being number 51 I think it was. Still glad to be in the first 100.

We have tracked down the official responsible for our case this week, but this official didn't respond to emails nor answered the phone. We will be trying to contact that person and their office again and again in hope to get what we need.
Sentry comes with the riser that is held by the gap in the central wall. The gap keeps the riser by the pci-e slot's plastic body and the grasp on it is tightened by two screws. This way we've got same or even better slot handling then in standard chassis without riser, because there's no force applied to the slot's welding points.

In comparison other cases with this layout have some kind of GPU support at the end of the card because they are attaching the riser by its PCB which puts the force of the card's weight on the riser's slot welding points and its PCB's mounting points and screws.

Sentry doesn't support GPUs with oversized PCBs because of their power draw, heat emission and weight, therefore we don't need to support the card's end. I have tested this while travelling every second weekend for the better half of this year with heavy gigabyte R9-270X windforce 3X installed inside and blower type GTX 970 for more than a year before changing to 270X.

The founders edition or any other blower cooler is best. This type of cooler exhausts the hot air out the back by the hdmi/dp/dvi ports. Open coolers like the G1 tends to spew hot air all around them and in to the interior of the case making everything hotter. I have a 1080 founders edition and  it usually boosts up to 1900mhz (2000mhz when over clocked) while staying below 75C (80C when over clocked). The vapor chamber cooler on the founders edition is really good. I use MSI Afterburner to increase the fan curve a little bit (maybe 5% over stock) and it always stays cool. A blower cooler is always best for small volume pc case.

If you insist on open air cooler style, the G1 looks like it would fit. http://zaber.com.pl/sentry/
Their website lists maximum size gpu that the case will accommodate. Check it out. Be sure to only use gpu measurements from the manufacturers website. I wouldn't expect the Sentry guys to buy a 1080 just to test it. Just look at the measurements. Again, I highly recommend a blower cooler

Read reviews on the Silverstone psu. Many Silverstone sfx psu seem to have issue with the fan. I have corsair sf600. It is a good choice.  Overall the build looks good. Keep in mind, Intel will be releasing/announcing new cpus in January or February.  Might want to wait.

It says contact before ordering? I have never seen this on Amazon. It sounds suspicious. Be careful of deals that sound too good to be real.

If you're still interested in getting help picking parts I suggest starting a new thread so we don't hijack the Sentry thread.
