Because the UM2 is a legacy device no longer receiving software updates from the company and the newer drivers available are not compatible with the UM2 while the old drivers likely have spaghetti code and compatibility issues with newer systems so they simply don't support them anymore. This is one of the many reasons I don't recommend purchasing any interface cheaper than the UMC202HD and I made this point very clear in my gear guide. This interface is designed to be the cheapest possible solution for attaching an XLR mic to a PC and is most definitely not a good choice to purchase for low-latency workloads or serious studio use.

Keep in mind also that you can certainly use amp sims and the interface itself without ASIO drivers and you may find that it actually has less latency than a generic driver like ASIO4ALL. As for ASIO4ALL taking control of the device, every ASIO driver will do that unless you match the sample rates between Windows and the driver itself so that one is on you and nothing to do with Behringer.

You could likely find better ram with lower CL or going higher in GB.
Right now, it might look good?
don't know how good the airflow is in that case though, and using stock cooler? You need that air for it.

I'll recommend the 3060 ti its not that much but its better than 2080 super and cheaper and the only difference its in performance to the 3070 its like 20 % more so you can save a little bit so you can buy a cooler for cpu , for ram go with g.skill tradint z 3600mhz cl16 or cl18 its almost the same price and for the case go with cooler master.

So, i have this rather annoying issue on my laptop (I don't remember the exact model but it's Acer Aspire S 13). The screen is automatically changing the brightness in the stupidest way possible. When there is something bright on the screen the brighteness goes up and  when there is something dark, it dimms itself. This is super annoying because when you're watching something the screen keeps changing brightness constantly. I have turned off "Enable adaptive brightness" from power settings but it's still doing it. If anyone knows a way to fix this I'd be very grateful :).

RAM: Your PC is going to use as much RAM as it needs. Windows has some, your programs get some. And if it doesn't need more than 8 it will not take more than 8. You'd be surprised by how little RAM some larger programs need

Vegas: the way programs on hard drives (and SSD) work is that a program is read only. Your computer opens it and makes a temp copy on the same drive from read/write capabilities. It does this for every file you open in Vegas. If your stuff is on C drive with 1GB left, it could very well be taking up rest of the space and running our of disk allocation.

Mouse: could be one or two things. Your main drive is full.  SSDs slow down drastically when they are full because of how they use page data for file modification. If your computer is trying to modify files on the disk and it doesn't have enough space, that's most likely your issue.

It could also be a virus or malware. That could take up space and slow you down, but you'd have to have space to download and run an AV if you don't have one.

The screen going black could also be from system hangs related to a full main drive. Your computer cannot just push everything else to RAM or another drive. Doesn't work like that. It hangs because there isn't enough space for file allocation and has to force things to shut down on order to free up space to function.

It could also be indicative of a failing GPU, but the only way to know for sure would be to free up space and see if that fixes your issues. It might not be beneficial to stress test when you don't have space.

    Lastly,
Disk Space: Go into Programs and Features and actually see how much data your programs take up. If you have some basic programs with not much in the way of large game files, I would expect closer to 80GB instead of 60. You can always run the system cleaner to purge temp files and Windows backup/restore points to free up space.

What I do, and would recommend in this case, is relocate the Downloads, Documents, Music, Videos files to another drive. Just make the same folder names on the new drive, then go to the original folders and change the path. Windows can move the files for you. That will help free up some space.

Again, if you have a virus or something of that nature, it could cause space issues by filling you up with garbage.

However, with Vegas Pro, I'd probably assume large program files, which then cause your drive to exceed it's space allocation, and cause the many issues you're experiencing.

So, I'd recommend moving your files, uninstalling some programs you do not need on your main drive, install them onto your storage drive. Make sure Vegas isn't saving everything to the main drive as well. Once you have the space figured out, the mouse and screen flash will either be resolved or not. If resolved, you know it wasn't due to space. If not resolved, at least you have freed u space tobetter diagnose and resolve any other issues.

LTSU reacted to TheRealSerious in SCRAPYARD WARS season 5 Concept Suggestion
    Hello everyone,

Just registered to suggest a concept for the next season of Scrapyard Wars :

Theme : "Multiple rigs in one case"

Goal is be to fit as many different computers as possible in a single case.
    Rules are as follow :
    - must use a consumer grade case (no server rack)
    - all computers in the case have to be running and connected to a screen at the same time to run benchmarks
    - score is determined by : (sum of the benchmark scores)*number of computers running in the case

    What I expect :
    - Zombie builds with power issues
    - Cases stuffed to the brim with small form factor mobos and laptop components
    - Ghetto I/O panels cut in the front/top/anywhere
    - Serious heating issues
    - Nightmarish cable management
    - A lot of fun and entertainment

You will need to use auxiliary power and not have it directly through the ardunio, only for it to provide a PWM control signal and use mosfets to be what connects everything together.

The current value (10A) represents the maximum amount of current that the power supply can produce. Think of it like the maximum pressure water can have through a pipe before pipe starts to crack and break.
The voltage is fixed at 12v, think of it like the diameter of the water pipe. Power supply will try to keep the voltage to 12v, or as analogy it will try to keep the pipe constantly full of water and not have air bubbles or gaps in the water flow. ... no matter how much current something consumes, the power supply will put more pressure (more current) trying to keep the pipe filled completely up to a point. If the power supply says it can do maximum 10A, that means if something consumes more than 10A, it will have no choice but to reduce the voltage ( deliver same quantity of water in a unit of time) or just stop.

If the led strip is designed to work from 12v , then almost always it will be segmented in groups of 3 leds and each color in that segment will have is own resistor limiting the current to some reasonable value, something like 10mA.. 20mA per color.
If you want a rough estimate, just assume 10mA per color , so 30mA for each 3 leds. Let's say the 5m strip has 100 segments of 3 leds.. in this case your led strip will consume 30mA x 100 = 3000mA or 3A - IF all the three colors are turned on all the time.
When you'll adjust the "brightness" of one or several of the red, green and blue colors, the total power consumption of the led strip will consume less.

You can figure out more accurately how much the led strip will consume by measuring those resistors in a segment and using the formula:

Input Voltage - number of leds x forward voltage of one led = Current x Resistance.

For example, if the red channel has a 1 kohm resistor, then using a slightly higher value of 2v than the typical value (1.7v..2v) for red leds because it makes the math easier (2.2..2.4v for green or less depending on chemistry and around 2.8..3.2v for blue) the current for the red part of the 3 led segment will be (12v - 3 x 2v ) / 1000 ohm = 6/1000 = 0.006 A or 6 mA
Red leds are more efficient than the ones made for other colors, so often you get the same brightness/intensity with less current so you may see different value resistor compared to the other colors.
Also, human eyes are more sensitive to green compared to other colors so you may also see a slightly different current for green compared to blue.. but most cheap rgb strips don't care about this and just limit the maximum current to a sane value like 10mA or mA and assume user would pwm the color channel to reduce the brightness

So you can just use the formula and add up the currents for each color and you'll have the value for a 3 segment when the segment is 100% white. then multiply with the number of segments.

The ATX spec for PSUs mentions a maximum of 10A (iirc), with actual power draw being lower (Probably closer to 2A). You can safely power the strip using the +12V off of a Molex connector (Not entirely sure where you connect the GND to, in therms of pins on the arduino)
