    I just noticed!
They actually changed the video title:
Old title: "Is AMD for poor people?"
Current title: "Why is AMD the Budget Option for Gamers?"

Of course this is after quite a bit of backlash from the community, like/dislike ratio is not really weird though; that's because the actual video was pretty good.

I actually suggested a video title similar to the current one when the video came out:
    https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1044030-why-is-amd-the-budget-option-for-gamers/?tab=comments#comment-12389085
Great to see them actually change the title when the LTT community here was not happy about it, although Anthony did argue for the title in the linked above thread.

I'm not forcing you to buy a particular laptop. I'm just giving my opinions and suggestions based on my knowledge. My suggestions and opinions might be wrong or might sound wrong to you, therefore you don't have to fully agree and follow what I've said. In the end, you are the one who make the purchase and I can't force you to not buy a model even though I know it has bad reviews.

so.. the samsung foldable phone... i know who their target audience is for that:

a mobile power user who regularly cycles out their smartphone and tablet, to stay at the cutting edge of technology, and can see the expense as a business decision. (for example, having your representatives or a consultant run around with the latest and greatest tech implies that business is running well.)

so.. in a sense, samsung made a device that will only be bought by absolute tech addicts, and businessmen, and in this way keep demand low enough to make screen production for a foldable device reasonable.

Why gaming laptop reviews from LTT are mostly Asus and MSI...

And I have some opinions of the GS75 review:
    1. CB15 only 1 run? Please do sustain load
    2. Still no detailed thermal test...please
    3. You can see a sign of insufficient cooling in GS75 - GPU performance is lower than GX701 with same 2080MQ GPU (probably power throttled)

    more pointless pondering:

the hardware i chose for my NAS build ran into a snag where the motherboard manufacturer (asrock) claims that it supports 16GB RAM, whereas the cpu that's soldered onto it according to intel only supports 8GB RAM...

dont wanna risk the issues, so i'm looking into some other options.. the ryzen 2200G seems like a pretty decent call, as does the intel i3 8100..

came to mind, my main system is 4 years old now, and i havent done my "annual upgrade" yet this year.. (besides new peripherals, but that was LONG overdue..)

does anyone want to see me squeeze a full size ATX board into a tiny 1u chassis, and cool a 4790k with a 1u cooler?

i guess i could underclock the processor to save on heat.. and with one upgrade i'll boost my main rig, and get the dopest AF 1U sleeper ever..  (or rather, 1U alarm clock because fan noise)

i mean, i've as much as decided that i'll be cutting away all internal structure in the chassis anyways, i may as well go full out, and squeeze in a main rig upgrade in the process.. my main rig kinda needs the upgrade and a reinstall anyways, since windows update is only half-borked.

    In games - medium load:
    i7-8750H: 90+C@30W
    RTX 2070MQ: 80+C@80W
Fan speed almost max at auto settings

That's the result of not upgrading the cooling solution. 8950HK+2080MQ? Forget about that.

so.. on the topic of pointless pondering..

NAS build, i've sorta figured out my drive choice, partially motivated due to availability and the hardware i ended up choosing...

comes to one last tiny detail... cooling.

    - "xilence white box series" fans, €1.99 a piece, and use A LOT of them because about 1 in 4 will end up a dud.
    - fractal design silent series, €7.99 a piece
    - noctua fans, €17.99 a piece, and be guaranteed they'll last longer than planet earth.

    in other words:
    - cheapest of the cheapest, and probably having to buy a few spares
    - decent option for 4x the price
    - best of the best, for 9x the price.

EDIT: should note, the noctua's come with a bunch of accessories i can actually use..

the problem here.. is that i intend to use "at least" 8 fans, and this is more or less a budget build..
(also, this comparison really isnt an advertisement for noctua price/performance wise..)

    https://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Predator-Triton-500-i7-8750H-RTX-2080-Max-Q-Laptop-Review.407671.0.html
    My verdict:
    1. It copied the design of GS65
    2. No Optimus - no need to deal with Optimus shuttering issue but you lose battery life
    3. 2080MQ inside it can actually boost higher than it's usual clock speed (not full 2080N level), however like most thin and light, CPU temp suffers a lot and surface temps are high. Blade 15 with 2070MQ also has the same result
    4. I noticed that thin and light laptops with RTX Max-Q GPUs do have improved fan noise under load compared to 10 series Max-Q thin and lights. Need more info to validate this though

a raspberry pi 3B+ compiles retropie and optional packages faster than a base intel NUC.

now.. if one of the pi ripoff companies made an ARM box with good driver support, that is powered off something better than USB, so it can reach the 10-20 watt range on it's ARM core, paired with a decent graphical solution, and a nice amount of RAM and I/O.. put that box on sale yesterday.
