  1. Hey guys, as my local hardware shop sold me a cooler that is not good enough for my fx-8350 (the bequiet pure rock) and I'm stuck with high temps and no real overclocking now I'm looking for a new one. As my system has to be relly quiet aio-coolers are out of choice and that's why there are two options now: The noctua NH-D15 and the bequiet dark rock pro 3. In cooling performance the Noctua is slightly better, but because the bequiet is more silent and cheaper(<10€ difference, what's a lot for me as a student) I'm thinking about getting the german one. (Also it looks a lot better) Now my question: Is there anything I got wrong or can you recommend any of these options?
  2. I would never buy a 2gb Graphics Card for that price. Spend a few extra bucks for a 4gb Crad!!! My friend recently bought a 2gb GTX 960 and can play games on medium settings which I can play on Ultra with my 4gb version!
  3. really!? Well I guess now I know why my local hardware store went broke
  4. I have a GTX 960 with 4 gb and i absolutely love it and can highly recommend it. However, if you get the 2 gb version you will have problems with ultra graphics like my friend has them now...
  5. It's not about the actual question, but at keysellers like Kinguin.com g2a.com or instant-gaming.com you get games always a lot cheaper
  6. Nice to hear how you all trust in my skills I saw many people replacing their fan and with rubber gloves it should be pretty safe...
  7. Hi guys, I'm looking for a new 144hz monitor. I'm mostly playing csgo but also games like Rainbow 6 Siege or Rocket League. The only problem is the price point of these panels. So can you recommend any 144hz monitor below 270€? Or if they are all crap, which one is least crap? Already a huge thank you
  8. I'm planning on replacing my PSU fan becase it's very noisy. (Corsair VS-series 650W) 1. question: Do I need an SP or an AF fan? 2. question: Are 1000 rpm on a high end fan enough to cool a 650W PSU? Thanks to all of you
  9. 1. Wait for the new GPU generation to come out (in about 6 months) 2. You're never wrong with the most expensive card you can afford, you always get what you pay for. 3. If you want the ultimate SWAGness you can think about two cheap GPU's in SLI, even though this is actually not the best method. 4. I am personally using a GTX 960 and it can run most games on ultra and 60 fps, however I recommend pick up at least a GTX 970 because I cannot have AA enabled or just 2xAA.
  10. I'd always go with the 960 so you can run most games on ultra on 60 fps.
  11. I'm using the BeQuiet pure rock. I heard it's not always available in every country but here in Germany they are cheap an you get them everywhere. I'm using it on an FX-8350 an it kepps it under 70°C at 4.3 Ghz so it should work fine on your CPU. Another great think is that you can hardly hear it.
  12. http://www.amazon.de/Speedlink-Ansteckmikrofon-abnehmbaren-rauschunterdr%C3%BCckend-schwarz/dp/B004YEWC22/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1459106199&sr=8-2&keywords=speedlink+mikro sry for the german amazon link... its enough if you want to use it for teamspeak or skype
  13. I have a GTX 960 and I love it. Nearly every game runs on Ultra on 60fps. I can recommend the Gigabyte Windforce one. I don't know the exact price, but the G1 from Gigabyte is the best for your money.
  14. If you would really spend 1200$ on a Titan X I'd rather think about 2 980 ti's
  15. True. But for many games 4gb are enough + the higher gpu speed is also a nice thing to have. But in the end all these numbers are useless, just benchmarks are important...
  16. I am in the same situation and will pick up another 960 (I have 4gb of Vram, might be important). The 8gb of the 390 are a bit overkill, 4 gb are enough für these mid-budget-cards. And it isn't that expensive and looks badass
  17. Even on a low budget you can find some cheap Z170's
  18. another thing you might want to check (beside the already mentioned stuff) how the PCIe lanes are shared. I didn't and want to add another graphics card as the prices will drop in a few months, but because i also have a sound card (what i recommend to get if you have good headphones/speakers) i doesn't work because of the motherboard.
  19. well I did but there wasn't even a 8x/4x/1x config. does that mean that only two pcie cards are supported (what wouldn't make sense at all :D)
  20. so a 8x/8x/1x mode is not possible on this mainboard?
  21. First my specs: Asus M5a99x evo r2.0 AMD FX-8350 at 4.3 ghz BeQuiet Pure Rock Gigabyte GTX 960 4gb Asus Xonar dx As Pascal is coming nearer I'm thinking about picking up a second 960 when the prices will drop. My problem however is, that I want to use the two 960's in SLI while using a sound card without having a too big bottleneck with the PCIe lanes. So my question is if i can run the two GPU's in SLI on x8 mode without having a performance impact because of the PCIe 2.0 slots? If that's the case, can I run the sound card on the third PCIe x16 slot and run them all together in x8/x8/x1? Unfortunately the Asus Website just says that 8x/8x is possible but no information on a third expension card... Beside all the numbers would you recommend spending about 100€ on a second gpu? Or is it a waste of money for just a bit higher frame rates? Does it even make a difference when the cards run in x8 instead of x16 mode with PCIe 2.0? Already a huge Thank You
