  1. I was just chilling and watching the video then was AHHHHHH!!! and missed it all by miles lmao! Next time baby... next time...
  2. Check your power settings in windows and see if you have power saving mode enabled with a recent update on windows it can sometimes kick this in and cause issues
  3. Just checked the Bios and its all up to date on the MOBO... done 1 restart, no VGA LED, conducted a 2nd and its back on, did a 3rd and its off again... I am so confused!
  4. Try this first: Disable Add-Ons Right-click the title bar or press "Shift-Esc" to open Task Manager in Google Chrome. Click "CPU" to see which task is consuming the most resources. Write down the name of the task if it's a plug-in or extension. Select the process and then click "End Process" to close the task. Open "Settings" from the Chrome menu and then click "Extensions," or type "chrome://plugins" (without quotation marks) into the address bar and then press "Enter," depending on which type of add-on is exhibiting high CPU usage. Locate the appropriate extension or plug-in in the list. Uncheck "Enabled" or click "Disable" to prevent the add-on from running. Reset Google Chrome Click the Chrome Menu on the toolbar and then click "Settings." Select "Show Advanced Settings" from the bottom of the page and then click "Reset Browser Settings." Click "Reset" to revert your browser configuration to default.
  5. have you got any extensions installed in chrome? and are you saying this happens with all browsers on your PC?
  6. MOBO: Asus Maximus Hero Viii CPU: Intel 6700k GPU: Gigabyte 3070 Aorus RAM: 16Gb corsair LPG Monitor: ASUS PG79Q So I used to run a 980ti, and have recently upgraded to a new 3070, I have also moved my PC so can now see the error lights for VGA/DRAM/CPU etc. My worry is since I have moved the PC tower and can now see the error lights, the VGA LED is constantly illuminated in white. I have no issues at all with displays, I have a 1440p Asus hooked up VIA DP and then a 4K TV at times also when I am not gaming, all everything functions perfectly, all games play absolutely fine with no issues at all. Google only shows me that "There is an error and you GPU is not working" but it is... everything is working apart from I cannot get windows to update to the 20H2 update lol! (No idea is this issue is linked, but it fails on boot 2 sequence every time I attempt the install) can anyone shed any light on the subject? Or is the light on normal?! On occasional boots the VGA LED even goes off and doesn't stay illuminated... it is just strange Do I need to worry is my main question, TIA!
  7. just seen a video on youtube with a thaiwan man replacing the ribbon cable which has blown... any one know where these can be purchased and a guide on 'how to' by any chance?!
  8. cheers Bob116! any experience with these, or are you just wanting me to kill it with fire And am I safe to assume this whole piece will cost about as much as a new 24 inch 1080p monitior?
  9. if anyone could help or just let me know if this bit is not repairable so i can melt it with fire then that would be great
  10. Ok so my monitor got dropped by an excited 4 year old during a house move, it looks like the top frame has come into contact with a ribbon on the top control board connecting to the digitizer, anyone know if or how you can fix this?! Its the control board which attaches directly to the screen digitizer, attached via a ribbon cable to the main control unit. Sorry if your a repair man and I am using all the wrong names of stuff but i think with the pictures it will all make sense.... This is the digitizer with the back light removed: Here is the blown one, the metal/magnetic bar has snapped and blown and when powered up it heats up incredibly and causes a black/strippy bar down that segment of the screen... Here is a picture of another ribbon which hasn't blown for comparison...
  11. From NVIDIA control panel I can go to 'change resolution' and then change the: 'Output Colour format' to YCbCr444 but then cannot change the 'Output Dynamic range' to anything apart from 'Limited' also get UHD 4k running at 3840x2160 and the TV picks that up fine its just not getting the option for HDR, I can change the colour format to RGB which gives me the option to switch 'Output dynamic range' setting from 'Limited' to 'Full' but the TV still doesn't pick up the HDR setting for me to switch it on... Must be something simple I am missing surely....
  12. just using a high speed HDMI cable at the moment, is there any other type of cable that should be used or?! only thing I can find online which helps is something to do with the colour space and turning on 'Deep Colour' on the TV but i don't have that setting and the HDR section is showing as greyed out when the PC is connected meaning I cannot select it...
  13. NO they definitely do, I have found forum posts even of a 980 working with HDR on an LG TV....
  14. I cant for the life of me seem to get my TV to change to a 4k HDR picture from the PC, not sure if its a setting I need to tweak or if its the TV which has a different HDR output than the PC so it wont work... Either way help is needed so the TV I have is on the link below: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01E6GS0PA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Model: H43M3000 and my graphics card is a 980Ti iChill model issued by Overclockers UK All help welcomed as google isn't helping me at all right now...
  15. you should still take the advice and call nvidia, they normally take care of their customers so call them then go from there... unless you are afraid of talking on the phone, then get someone else to call them for you instead
