    At this time probably not. I'm fairly set on 64gb's ATM for budgetary reasons as 128 would be amazing but not sure I can swing it unless I did switch boards. I haven't heard of super micro, are they good stuff? Also, the 16 motherboard I did glance at but didn't have the USB.What USB card would you recommend if I went that route?

    It's not uncommon to do 30+ hour renders so I was wanting to have them run as cool as possible for me to get a solid 3 years of very day use out of them. You feel the stock ones are fine?

    Does anyone know of any quad channel ecc ram 1600mhz? I was having trouble finding any. Also, is the 1600mhz a xeon e5 limitation or purely a motherboard limitation?

    So what is the best CPU cooler that will work with with my ram? And should I switch the fans out for noctua's?

    So I did a little digging and what do you all think of the tj10 case in silver? That's compatible right? Also, if I go with that case, how many noctua fans should I pick up for a positive pressure environment?

    Is there a better option at the moment? I'm honestly unaware. I'm going to be dealin with massive 8k Photoshop drawing with 60-80 layers each at 300dpi for an upcoming project and I need absolutely the fastest thing available. Is there something better you would suggest? I'm completely open to improvements or suggestions.

    Well originally I had a k5000 in there, but a majority of my time is wasted on rendering and a couple comparison videos and chats I had people said the Titan would render faster than the k5000. Thoughts?

    Isn't the SR-X discontinued? I had read some forum members said they basically stopped tech support on the product and didn't plan on ever updated bios anymore and some people were having issues? Definitely will check out that case. Thanks for clarifying on compatibility... I will probably go air cooling then. Any additional after market case/CPU coolers you would re commend?

    On a daily basis I generally run After Effects CS6, Photoshop, FCP-X (but will be forced to switch over to Premiere obviously), Davinci Resolve, Cinema 4d, Boujou etc.

    Hey All, I'm a brand new member but have lurked for quite a while and watched Linus for years on YouTube. It's time for me to finally sign up and get some help on a new build I'm doing in the next 14 days. It's a massive build for maximum performance. I've been out of the enthusiast of building for close to 8 years so I'm trying to do a crash course on everything. I run a boutique ad firm and we only use Mac for stability, fairly non existent malware and virus worries, screensharing and iMessage with all employees on their iPads and iPhones etc. Problem is, they don't offer a high enough performance machine for an upcoming project... So I'm building one. I need your alls help and input though. I want maximum performance and am unsure of some things. Here's my list of parts so far: Fractal Design r4 Arctic White with clear side panel 2x Xeon 2687w CPU's Asus Z9PE-D8 WS Dual LGA 2011 MoBo ASUS GTX Titan 6gb Corsair AXi AX1200i 64gb Corsair Vengeance 1600 DDR3 Quad Channel 2x Samsung 840 500gb Raid 0 So I need your alls input on this build big time: 1) I am nervous about the MoBo as the reviews look bad, but there seems to be no alternative with USB 3. 2) is the R4 the best case? Love the look... 3) Is the power supply sufficient? Is it the best? 4) I believe I'm limited to 1600mhz memory correct? If so, is the Vengeance the best choice? 5) Are the Samsung SSD's good in raid 0? Are they the best choice for the money? 6) How should I cool this thing? Is water an option with the heat of both Xeons and a Titan? I've never done liquid cooling before so should I do air? If so, what are the best airflow options available in that case? Really looking forward to hearing feedback! Any and all welcome! Thanks!
