  1. Thanks guys. I appreciate the suggestions. HH
  2. On 1 keyboard the "c" key does not work....or does not register. I open word pad and test all the keys. The "c" key does not register when pressed down. Thanks, HH
  3. Hello everyone, I bought a couple of Logitech G710+ mechanical keyboards and on both there are keys that do not work. How do I go about fixing them? I bought one on eBay and got a replacement, now I have 2. I've tried removing the keys, reseating them, and using compressed air. I've installed the software/drivers and still some of the keys don't work. Thanks, HH
  4. Great models. As a 3d modeler myself, I prefer Xeon processors with ECC memory. My workstation has a Quadro card to handle all my renderings. I have worked with i7 processors and got me through many tough projects, but every once and a while I'd get system errors or blue screens when working.
  5. Thanks, will do.
  6. CMOS- Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor You can reset CMOS by using the jumper (tiny small plug) located near the coin battery. Remove the jumper and place it on the last pins while the computer is off and unplugged. You can also remove the battery. Holding the power button for about a minute while unplugged. HH Thanks HH, it did reset CMOS after I stalled the original graphics card back. Looks like the drivers from the previous quadro card may have interfered with the newer graphics card and would not boot the OS. So I'll just leave it alone, without replacing the graphics cards with a newer one. Thanks, HH
  7. What are CMOS? How do I do that? Thanks HH
  8. Hey Guys, I need help with my PC. I was switching out video cards and now I cannot boot to the OS. At first I thought it was the video card, but I tested it out on another machine and worked. I had to remove the main power connector to the board to release the video card, and when I put everything back together I can't get past the HP start up screen. So I put back the original video card (quadro) back in the machine and still no go. I hold f11 or esc key but can't get past the following screen after that. What went wrong? Did something get fried? I checked all my connections, everything is secured. The fans are working, the video card fan is also working, but it just doesn't go any further than the HP screen. What other things can I trouble shoot? Please review the pictures if it helps. Also, if worst case scenario my computer is corrupted, how do I got about retrieving the data on the SSD? Thanks so much in advance.

  10. Hello again, Yes, again with the same old question. I'm looking for a workstation with a good xeon processor. I was looking for a high end i7 but rather go with xeon since my work is mostly in 3d and video editing. To make it interesting, my budget is $2,500. I have a good GPU already (quadro 6000) and k4000. The memory and storage I'll upgrade later. Thanks everyone.
  11. Hey, Thanks guys for the great advise. My budget is $2000 max. I have 2gb quadro cards running in pre built HP i7 machines and rendering is still time consuming with those older i7 processors. That is one of the reasons why I have 2 HP i7 machines with quadro graphics cards, I use one for rendering and the other for 3d modeling and video editing. I was thinking of getting HP's latest pc with it's latest i7 processor, but if I'm better off getting a machine with a Xeon, then I'll go with that. I've worked with HP machines for over 10 years and they haven't failed me, but I'm willing to try another brand with higher power. So if the current Xeon processors are better than the latest i7 processors, what is a current machine that has those?
  12. What's up fellas, I'm thinking of buying a computer pretty soon for 3d design and rendering with a little video editing. Should I invest on a workstation with Xeon Processors or desktop such as an HP with the i7 6700k processor? I rely heavily on the processing power for rendering. Thanks for helping me out. HH
  13. Makes sense, thanks Apollo, much appreciated
  14. Alright fellas, so here are the cpuid. Let me know what better processor I can upgrade to. Thanks so much. HH
