  1. can I say all of the above except for battery life? I'm running an almost three year old fx8350 and a r9280x with a 16 gigs of ddr3 Ram. So if there is a bottleneck here it's just outdated hardware
  2. i remember a story back in the day when a guy thought he could be fast enough to change a graphics card without turning off his PC. this was way way back when AGP videocards and techtv was still a thing. Don't underestimate the power of human derpiness
  3. so other than that. are there any other potential issues you see? btw. partpicker stated a compatibility issue The motherboard M.2 slot #0 shares bandwidth with a SATA Express port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA Express port is disabled. but i don't really understand what it means. (not that techy)
  4. Yea. I heard that about the RM as well. But the EVGA is a no go. No sellers from where I am. SO I'm stuck with either Thermaltake, Corsair or Seasonic. How about the Corsair RM850i 80+ Gold Full Modular PSU? Plus fot the GPUs I'm planning to go for the Zotac Amp Extreme 1080's but there wasn't a price in pcpartpicker
  5. This is an overview for my new pc build, which will be purchased in a couple of days from now. I am open to suggestions for internals. The case and Monitor will not be changed. This will be used for Gaming (usually fallout and skyrim with a lot of texture mods running), VR (in the near future when Occulus decides to release the touch) and some video encoding. Note I would be using the Zotac amp extreme 1080 instead of the MSI 1080 FE (but it doesn't have a price yet in partpicker) PCPartPicker part list: CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($345.89 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($99.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Asus Z170-DELUXE ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($299.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($154.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($179.99 @ SuperBiiz) Storage: Seagate 4TB 3.5" 5900RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive ($144.88 @ OutletPC) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Founders Edition Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($698.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Founders Edition Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($698.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Thermaltake Core V71 ATX Full Tower Case ($89.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($79.99 @ Newegg) Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer ($14.89 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Acer Predator X34 34.0" 100Hz Monitor ($1199.00 @ Amazon) Total: $4007.58
  6. yeah i don't think a price drop will happen. unless Nvidia releases the 1080 ti. or if AMD releases a card that can kick the ass of the 1070 and 1080
  7. Yup. they are IMO one of the most reputable legit source of PC parts in the philippines. but still the founders ed is at lest 800USD here in the philippines
  8. Dude. I'm from the philippines too and I'm getting a 1080 this month. i know how you feel but since they have to pay taxes and duties from customs it's perfectly understandable why it's so expensive here
  9. Normally I would pick the car too. but I already have a decent truck (which that relative game me as well). and I work from home and yes my Rig is my source of income right now. So performance would help me a lot. :-)
  10. I'm super hoping I can get the EVGA 1080 when I buy it here. right now I can only get the founders edition
  11. the 2k budget is a theoretical bottom budget. my relative wanted to give me a new car so when I said I wanted a new pc my relative said I better get what I really want.
  12. I'm from the philippines. But I'm basing the budget in US dollar
