  3. So my roommate is getting his dad's old work computer.  Has a Core i7, 16GB of RAM, a 450W PSU, and a 120GB storage device, don't know if SSD or HDD.  That's all I know for now.  But my roommate is wanting to get into PC gaming with it.

I'm thinking, buy a cheap 1TB HDD and an RX 470.

Oh yeah, it'll be kicking some serious ass.

The PSU in the system will probably be under a lot stress. Work PC PSU are not meant of adding GPU's.

  10. hey Luke I'm making a new pc and I'm wondering if I should rather get 2 cheap graphics cards or 1 expensive graphics card

    1. Trevor87

      Trevor87

I would rather go for a single graphics card because two graphics card don't scale well in games may be 1050Ti

  14. Linus can you tell me if my gigabyte GA880GM usb3 board will support evga 750ti ftw. please

    1. Trevor87

      Trevor87

You board supports the 750ti you just have to have decent 450w power supply.

If high wattage power supply grate.

  15. Hello Linus.

I don't know if anyone is having the same problems but since the new update of windows 10 both my pc are very recourse hungry take quite a bit of Ram and CPU. When run heave applications it runs like 80 to 90 % of your CPU or RAM it wired and they are decent pc.

    1. Trevor87

      Trevor87

I found my problem with my two pc it seems like the new window update conflicts with some drivers on MOB side witch courses the CPU or RAM to use more resources when you run heavy application thus 80 to 90% Ram or CPU usage.

Z170 for gaming with 6700k would be very nice build. if you on tight budget then Z97 or H97 if you not over clocking.

Rather go with H motherboard then Z motherboard  if you not going to OC witch it looks like your not with the non K Processor  in your list.  A good 700W PSU will run a single Nvidia graphics card pc perfect and  you might be able to get better graphics card or hard drive if your going to play alot of games.
