  1. Aside from the creepiness of an internet connected camera, potentially sending off footage to who knows where. I have Satellite Internet and data caps. So I can't have it doing updates once a week anyway. Does this exist, or has Amazon truly cornered the market?
  2. What do I need? Price of the GPU already hurts, I'm not trying to buy some expensive adapter. Just something to connect my 1080p 60hz monitor to. I can't afford to upgrade the monitor yet. I'm more then content with it for now anyway.
  3. Trying to use my Soundbar on 3.5mm at the same time as my Pioneer via S/PDIF(digital). When I listen to the Soundbar with stereo mix, the Pioneer is behind just enough to be quite bothersome. It will not allow me to listen to the S/PDIF jack and send the audio to the Soundbar, but I doubt that would make a difference. It seems the software literally is listening in rather than using the actual source, resulting in that few hundredth of a millisecond of lag.
  4. Had to wipe the computer, when I reinstalled I tried taking the drive and putting it in my desktop. Problem is as soon as I put it back in the HP, it did some kinda scan thing and removed everything I added. Is there a such thing as USB to USB data transfer hub or something like it? This isn't my first time having to do this.. Moms not always careful with her laptop and neither is the rest of my family. I can't keep using usb drives as a transfer medium, far too much work and waiting.
  5. So, the data is there. Hard drive usage shows that it is, I just can't see the data. Anyone got any bright ideas? I feel pretty certain that if I put the laptop HD back into the Desktop, those files will still be there.
  6. My motherboard has only 4 ports, luckily enough that suits my needs but I have no room for expansion. I know on some motherboards the M.2 overrides a detailed SATA port. I'm not quite sure about the description on the B450m DS3H page either. "1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2* SSD support)" It makes me think it will use Socket 3? I don't know.. Users manual mentions warnings that you can't raid it with a sata drive, but nothing about turning off a sata port so the M.2 can function. I would like a more concrete answer as to what my options are before spending any money. Appreciate any and all help in advance.
  7. I've been sitting on my teeny little 1060 for some time now, and I want the RTX experience for Cyberpunk 2077. Looking at the 2060's, maybe even a 2070 if the price comes down enough. I save a percentage of my payday, but I don't want to oversave, or undersave. I don't make a lot of money. Trying to prepare in some way. Balance my income with saving. Not buying used, I want my warranty and I don't like gambling. Thanks ahead of time for any input and or suggestions, I like having multiple opinions, and I frequently try to learn from them.
  8. The game in question is Vindictus. They're more focused on expansion than optimization with newer systems.
  9. I've tried both NetLimiter and Net-Peeker, but they are paid programs and I'm hoping to find one to do something I shouldn't have to pay for.
  10. Sweet, thank you both. I was hoping for some control over YouTubes now very annoying and repetitive ads that don't even pertain to me or my viewing habits. But I'll take what I can get anyway, plenty of other ads to stop. Now comes the problem of who gets the "Mark as Solved" point.
  11. When it comes to phones, I don't entirely know what I'm doing. I have a little experience with Rooting, Jailbreak, and Homebrew. But it has been 6 years since my last run in and things change. I would rather speak with someone sure of themselves than spend hours trying to learn something that may not even be possible.
