  1. so ive been overclocking my cpu and i just have 1 question and that is how hot should i let the socket temp get. with prime 95 the socket gets up to low 70's and the actual core gets to low 60's shoul i be concerned with these temps? and how long can i let them stay that high before damage?
  2. Yeah lol I assumed it was I havnt really looked too much into the 300 series I need to more some differences
  3. lol i didnt know if you planned on upgrading so its always better safe than sorry on a power supply when it comes to wattage
  4. my bad i havnt seen those benchmarks in awhile i got it mixed
  5. hey i found this https://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-rm850
  6. my bad dude i didnt see sorry to get your hopes up
  7. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139130&cm_re=corsair_psu-_-17-139-130-_-Product pretty good deal id get this
  8. id get a 390x instead of a 980TI it performs about the same maybe a bit weaker but not by much at all and its like $200 cheaper only downside is not all games have crossfire http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131676&cm_re=390x-_-14-131-676-_-Product
  9. awesome man this really helped out
  10. Thanks for the advice man I've been looking all over for good benchmarks of the 380 and 390 but none of them seem to be around on Google and shit or their setups make no sense still would like to see some good benchmark comparisons tho
  11. What I meant by don't cheap out on it is that you shouldn't forget about important things like if u want more ram for sum reason or another GPU and so on just make sure u spend a lil more on the one that offers more to what u need whether it be up grading or overclocking
  12. whatever you do dont cheap out on your mother board and power supply if u plan on upgrading those two are pretty essential to keeping the cost at a minimum
  13. im pretty sure he isnt going to get bottle necked that bad cmon 60 fps in minecraft? i have an 8320 and it doesnt even bottle neck that bad. only on a game like rust can i even notice a bottle neck closely relating to the 60 fps in minecraft i dont think a bottle neck is the problem here maybe he isnt getting enough wattage
  14. how much more power are you thinking?
  15. currently i have a R9-380 4Gb which has some power but i wanna upgrade and this is where i need help, do i buy another R9-380 and run crossfire or sale my current 380 and just buy a 390 or possibly save up for a 390 and run crossfire with my 380 and 390?| Im thinking that i should buy another 380 then when i have enough buy the 390 then sale the 2 380's and buy another 390 with the money from the 2 380's. my problem with buying 2 380's is that not all games run crossfire so if i get the 390 and run it with my 380 it will be good for reassurance games will run fine with and without crossfire| im on a fairly strict budget so i was thinking it would be quicker to just try and sale my 380 and get a 390 but then again i honestly dont see it putting out more power than the 2 380's| i have a corsair 800w psu and my pc is pretty much bare for gaming so besides all the necessities i have nothing extra.|
