  1. I solved the issue.... and its kinda dumb always is. The board was set to auto for PCIE switching from GEN3 to GEN4 and because adding the new CPU completed the trifecta of mobo cpu and gpu all gen4 compatable it thought lets run in gen4 when the riser i have is only gen3 thats why 3080(Gen4) no worky and 1660(Gen3) worked fine. So i plugged in the 1660 loaded the bios up and changed the PCIE 16x slot the video card was plugged into from Auto to Gen3 and it worked right away no issues. This is where the story takes a sad turn after getting hyped its working i proceeded to play some games then out of nowhere 30 mins or so in screen goes black and i hear a loud ass sound like a gunshot scared the crap out of me. Turned out the pressure i guess built up in the watercooling loop and popped a tube out enough past the O ring to spary coolant out and me not noticing (Too busy gaming) it had leaked down into the AX1200i platinum PSU and blew it up. So i have spent the last 4 hours draining taking everything apart cleaning it and so far i have put the stock air cooler back on the RTX3080 and it does still work fine the backplate blocked the coolant from hitting it mostly. Still have to test the Motherboard and CPU and everything to make sure thats all working but thats for tomorrow. First time anything like this had happened and i have been watercooling PCs for about 10 years now. It will be BIG sad if the 850$ CDN CPU and 500$ CDN motherboard are dead i might just crawl in hole somewhere. But the next plan for tomorrow is head out to canada computers grab a darkrock 4 CPU cooler and probably a power supply and we going back to air for a bit. Thanks all for the help
  2. Yeah tell me about it really makes me regret doing a full custom PETG hard tubing build. But temps are good and it looks pretty XD
  3. yeah i thought about trying this but the issue is the 3080 is on a waterblock and with my pump rez combo it only fits in my case with vertical mount to test this i would have to completly remove everything and order some soft tubing to reconnect the card to the pump when its out of the case. If i had a small gpu like a gt710 or something i might be able to squeeze it behing the 3080 and move the riser cable to the lower pcie slot for the 3080. But im really leaning towards this being more of a configuration issue with my old drivers not liking the new CPU wether it be chipset driver or graphics card driver and i havent tried that yet going to give that a go tonight.
  4. ive tried stock and xmp both work with the 1660 super but not the 3080
  5. I'm running the latest update and I would try the old cpu again but the system is custom rigid tubing and with mono block so that's not a quick 5 min thing.
  6. Heres the Story.... After upgrading my system from the R7 2700x to the R9 5900x i get AA for Q code and the white light for the VGA is lit on the motherboard and i get no display signal at all to the monitor After hours or trouble shooting i have found a weird issue that i dont know the solution to and im hoping people on here do. If i change the RTX3080 graphics card (that was working 100% fine on the with the same mobo and old cpu) to a 1660 super the computer boots loads windows and works great. I did get the 3080 to display to my monitor one time for a short period but then it just went to a black screen. Part of me thinks my 3080 died but i have a hard time believing that when it worked fine yesturday and all i did was swap the cpu. I just feel like this is something firmware/spftware related the install of windows is pretty fresh only a 3 months old as i upgraded the motherboard when i pre order the 5900x back november. 7. yeah i know but they are trying to market it as a card for gaming and its not.
  8. The sad thing is that they market it as a gaming card but it doesnt seem like it is. That memory will benifit workstations more then gaming and there is nothing new to help improve gaming performance or graphics quality other then 7nm which come with 25% improved performance. I cant help but feel like this card was made for Apple's newest version of desktops and thats really the only systems you will find them in. It just kinda sucks we need competition in this market.
  9. So who is setting up the freesync test party on the 15th
  10. I have the freesync version of this monitor and love it! Just didnt have the extra 300$ to shell out for the g sync model. https://www.amazon.ca/LG-32GK850G-B-Gaming-Monitor-Refresh/dp/B078TTXLW5/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1546828505&sr=8-1&keywords=LG+32inch+144hz+g+sync
  11. Im not the most knowledgable person when it comes to headsets im looking for a good all round over ear headset for my PC. Requirements decent sound, comfortable and something that has decent build quality all for 100$ or less Thanks,
  12. The Resolution is a lie.... The Resolution is a lie.... The Resolution is a lie....
  13. well these cables i bought from corsair cuz im just too lazy to bother with sleeving stuff my self and yeah i was actually thinking about the combs might get them when i put my order in for parts for my corsair 250D build im starting soon
  14. yeah i really like the one that covers the whole motherboard tray and all the extra cut outs you dont need
  15. i slide the middle monitor out whit out having to un screw anything then screw the base on and its ready to go to a LAN wall mounting would just be a lot more work and more permanent
  16. yeah this stand is kinda weird the middle monitor wont sit back any farther but it kind works good cuz then the middle monitor hides the bezels of the sides
