So fellas I got this weird problem. When I plug in any router at home it works with no problem I can connect any everything. But when I bring one to work, plug it into the ethernet and try to connect to it. It refuses to work, I keep clicking connect and it disconnects me. Could it be some rule with there networking that prevents any routers close to it from connecting, or maybe interference. No fucking clue.

Managed switches can be configured to detect if a router is connected then block them from accessing the network. Try a switch. Should note that switches can also be blocked though. In the case try a hub. It's one instance when they're actually still useful today.

I assume your work network has a whitelist of approved devices of some sort to prevent unauthorized parties connecting to it, same as you put a password on wifi.
