  1. As per the inserted link the Z verse B is a "revision: level but I have also heard some were to designate Samsung b die chips. https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=80808 I believe the b-die played better with early Ryzen. I think it is less important with ryzen 2 (3000 series). search up Samsung B-die vs Hynix die
  2. $14 for the bracket isn't too bad. ncix price From Wan show it almost seems like they are saying am3 holes are compatible with am4, not new bracket is good for am3 and am4. Either they are confusing or confused.
  3. Actually he said it would affect some plastic tubing. Most antifreeze has anti corrosive additives
  4. I was looking at a bit of a deal on a raystorm block and was wondering if I could slot it myself but it looked like there wouldn't be enough material left on the existing bracket. i think I will just wait for new am4 product support then an additional bracket. FYI EKWB has good info on the type of change. ekwb site
  5. I don't know the details of copper rads but i can tell you with automotive aluminum coolers there are a lot more metal then just aluminum in the plating order to get them "soldered". It seems like that one (hopefully just that one) missed the cleaning stage after manufacture.
  6. For cooler mounting It seems like through board holes have changed. The surface mount engagement bars have also change and it is expected any cooler that hooked onto the tabs of am3 will still work with am4. Wraith cooler, cool master hyper T, etc. For coolers that mount through the board holes, they will require new/modified bracket. Some slottted brackets already surfacing. You need to look past feature page into spec or manual to find am4 compatibility at time. Coolers listed as supporting am4 include MSI Core Frozr L Alphacool Eisblock XPX CPU -water block upgrade bracket for bequiet silentloop AIO have shown up on new egg.
  7. To put this thread back on track. The guy from DasMode did a custom loop for his Green Lantern build using components from a predator. I wonder how his unit was? I didn't notice anything the first time I watched it. youtube Green Lantern build DasMode
  8. It is older but Silverstone has Fortress series that is 90 degree rotated motherboard putting I/O on top. Not good for water cooling though.
  9. Wow I am wondering about other reports on the Predators. I've heard scary stories on the swiftech AIO pumps when I was look at one of those. Best to save up for individual parts and do a custom loop. Maybe I will just build a custom fountain beside my computer.
  10. The point is the a case like the Fractal Core 3300 has all the front I/O on a bar (held on by two screws) that you could move with just minor modding.
  11. Fractal design Core Series has a front I/O module that you could relocated to the back (minor mod) and then just use the back as your front. It is on top as received so maybe that would be good enough for you? The 5.25 drive dvd would still be on opposite side though.
  12. Take a look at the back while turing the nut. I suspect there is a metal insert that is inside the back plastic part. If you see an insert (maybe brass colour) spinning then you need to stop it from spinning. You can use a pin or needle nose pliers to jamb the insert and stop it from spinning while turning the nut.
  13. For AM3 the through board cooler mounting holes are 48mm x 96mm pitch. The new AM4 through board cooler mounting holes are said to be 54mm x 90mm pitch newegg list the bracket Alphacool Eisbaer/be quiet! Silent Loop Bracket for AMD Zen S. AM4 (12545)
