  1. Apex Lengends. Monster Hunter Online. Sid Meiers Civilisation. Looking forward to CyberPunk. I do play some triple A fps games quite often.
  2. I'm currently wanting to purchase a new graphics card. I will be using it to play games at 1440p and would like to achieve closest to 144fps as possible. I am in Australia so prices are definitely higher than US. I have narrowed down to a few options but honestly can not decide which is best graphics card for me for its value. For simplicity sake everything will be in USD. Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2060 Super - $512 EVGA XC Ultra/Ultra Gaming RTX 2070 - $516/$531 Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2070 - $547 EVGA FTW3 Ultra Gaming RTX 2070 -$553 Gigabte Windforce OC RTX 2070 Super - $594 I am currently mainly looking at Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2070 and the EVGA FTW3 Ultra Gaming RTX 2070 but am open to new options. If anyone can tell me which is better between the two, pros and cons of each, it would be very helpful. First thing is do I even consider a RTX 2060 Super when a RTX 2070 is only $4 more? Also do I consider a RTX 2070 Super when its $47 more than the Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2070?
  3. Also adding, just found another keyboard that fits the bill. Magicforce keyboard using Gateron switches.
  4. I want to purchase a 60% mechanical keyboard and I've basically cleared my list to 2 final keyboards, both pretty different. I've picked these two because of availability/accessibility (i.e shipping internationally). So My choices are either a Vortex Poker 3 which has no LED backlit, PBT keycaps, Metal casing, uses Cherry MX Blue switches. The other keyboard is the AnnePro which is an RGB backlit keyboard, wireless (couldn't give a damn about wireless tbh), apparently has PBT keycaps which allows the RGB light through, uses Gateron Blue switches. Vortex Poker 3 costs around $130 USD whereas, the AnnePro costs around $90. I've heard Gateron's are superior to Cherry, especially since I really like that tactile click (more clickier tactile bump the better), but i've never used them so I can't really say. For the price, which keyboard would probably better overall.
  5. But aren't they important? Since I think realtek is my main software for sound output. And some of the intel software seems to be for my wireless/bluetooth as well as for framework
  6. I'm feel like I'm having problems with my disk drive. The drive is my SSD where my Windows and all other apps like skype and my games are installed. Recently, I've been having problems with some apps having problems starting up and updating, but updating fine when installing on my other drive. I'm not sure if my drive is failing because there isn't any errors when scanning the disk. So i want to try a clean restart of my computer but I'm not sure which one would be better. While I do want the cleanest of reinstallation, "Fresh start" says that it will not include certain apps that came with the computer such as certain NVidia apps like PhysX software and 3D software as well as Audio software from Realtek, some Intel software as well as ASUS System Updater, (software where I have never downloaded as it all came with the computer, but they sound important). Would just resetting my PC be enough or is it better to do a Fresh start?
  7. By under 20%, that is when its idle correct?. Also should the occasional spike to 40-60% be a concern?
  8. Will be a bit difficult to show you all 177 processes running since theres just way too much to screenshot and upload. Well as long as there is no problem with my computer I can just work with it. I'm just concerned as this just doesn't feel right as it didn't do this previously.
  9. What should I do to cut this down? All I've done since factory resetting my computer is download and install Google Chrome and Spotify, both of which I had before.
  10. I have changed the power settings to High Performance. Although I am very confident that my power settings was at Balanced before. I believe, this has changed it somewhat to increase the processing speed, I haven't seen it go below 3ghz as often now, but it still fluctuates really crazily.
  11. No, all I did was a clean reset of my drives into factory settings.
  12. Could be, but why is it fluctuating now when previously I had more background processes and then it stayed a constant around 3.2ghz
  13. I don't have the performance option, Just Balanced or Power Saver. It is at Balanced.
  14. I just recently clean resetted by computer, all drives. But after resetting it, the CPU seems to acting quite weird, The CPU utilization seems to be jumping from 1% to 20% at idle, going from 2.6ghz to 3.4ghz. In the power management options, I've set that my minimum and maximum processing would be at 100% when plugged in. I did this because when the minimum processing was at 5%, the CPU utilization would be jumping around from 1% to 100%. Also sometimes, when I open something like Chrome and check my CPU usage, it would be at 100% and lag for approximately 3-5 seconds. This has never happened before the reset. Also before the reset, my CPU usage would be at around 18% utilization always and would stay constantly around 3.2ghz. I have also updated my bios to the latest. Is there some issue with my computer? i7-6700HQ 16GB RAM 256SSD + 1TB HDD
  15. I can't really change the wifi router. Since i am staying at a studio complex with 3 different unit complex. The router is in a different unit. But the main problem is that this is controlled by the ISP or the building owner and i do not have any authority in changing this unfortunately. I can certainly ask for it to be changed. The wifi connection is already being signal boosted. I think the wifi signal booster is a dual band, that is what the person working at my ISP said as he changed this recently. I do not know if the actual router was changed though. Could that be the issue why i cannot connect to the 5ghz band? Also have considered a powerline adapter. main issue is that i do know not if the powerlines from my complex (C) is the same as the powerline in complex (A) where the router is. As for the download speed. I dont think it is limited. as i sometimes but very rarely and for a short period get over 10mbps. but mostly it just varies between 7 and 8mbps. Funny enough my upload speed is higher than my download speed.
  16. Actually with command prompt i found that my wifi adapter does support 802.11ac. But how do i change it so that I am on the 5Ghz Bandwidth?
  17. Hi, so as a university student/college student living away from home. I am staying at a studio complex that has internet connection via wifi. Apparently my internet connection is fiber connection with a download speed capable of 100mbps. I am not expecting the full 100mbps through wifi but i am only getting around 10mbps or less. My laptop wireless adapter is the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265, which seems to be 802.11ac (not sure, if someone can confirm this. would be nice) but in my settings, it says my protocol is 802.11n. Also the wifi node is capable of supporting both 2.4ghz and 5ghz band but my connection is on 2.4ghz. how can i change it to 5ghz bandwidth? If i do would that improve the connection? The stability of my connection is absolutely horrible.
  18. 65% keyboards are just a smaller layout keyboard, it doesn't include some keys as the function key row, or the numpad, but it will still have the arrow keys. 65% keyboard tend to have around 66 keys. They are just in a more compact form, which some like me might really like how they look, but its mostly for the reason to save desk space. The difference between Cherry MX and Outemu and Gaote are the manufacturers. Cherry MX are German made and are the original manufacturers of the first "gaming"/mechanical keyboard. When the patent ran out for the switches, other companies (nearly all from China) started to manufacture these mechanical keys. They are made nearly identical to each other with the exception that Cherry would most likely use higher quality materials to build the switches than the Chinese companies. Also the tolerance level (the consistency) of the switches would be higher in Cherry switches. But to be honest, performance wise, I haven't heard many complaints and for the lower price of the keyboards for non-cherry switches, its a good thing. Now some people can afford mechanical keyboards for a much lower price now. I don't know about Gaote much, but i've read some complaints of the keyboards that use Gaote switches. Outemu seems fine. Feeling wise, theres little difference, Cherry MX feels better to type on than Outemu or Gaote switches but Outemu are more clickier but experience will vary. For people like me who have used Cherry all the way from the beginning, I personally just prefer Cherry switches because I can indeed tell the difference in typing experience, but its doesn't differ that much. I still do have non-cherry switches like the Tesoro Gram Spectrum and its not like i hate them. For the price, non-cherry switches can be a good thing.
  19. Cloud 2 > Cloud Revolver > Razer Kraken anything. But i personally recommend buying a headphone + mic combo, as that is much better than buying a gaming headset. Some very good headsets at that price point: Open back (this is to be used indoors and would recommend not taking outside because sound leaks) - if you're into FPS games, these are the best. - Sennheiser 558 - Philips SHP9500 If you want a closed back then - ATH-M40x - Takstar Pro 80 Open back has better sound stage, better/real sound quality but no noise isolation and are meant to be used indoors in quiet, private areas, so there is a trade off.
  20. I like the Senheiser 558 more than the SHP9500, i've used them both, but again this is personal opinion. True right now that 558 costs $100 but i always see it on sale for $80. 558 is not overpriced, the material and build quality feels better than that stupid ATH-M50x. Sure some people might say the SHP9500 is better for the price and thats opinion. I personally don't like the brighter sound it makes and i also like the larger sound stage the 558 has over the SHP9500, I also like the looks of the 558 better and i also like the branding of Sennheiser more than Philips, and these amount to thinking that to me 558 is well worth its price and purchasing the 558 over the SHP9500. Heck i bought the 598 knowing that it has a very similar sound to the 558. What i've listed are personal opinion, some might like the brighter sound of the Philips, some might not care about the sound stage or the brand. Sennheiser's sound signature is very easy and nice to listen to, the Philips are very nice sounding headphones at that kind of price, one of the best for that price but my personal opinion and tastes made me purchase the 598s. Putting any bias aside and after trying DT990, AKG 553, AKG 701, AKG7XX. I'm okay with DT990, hated the 553, and 7XX is currently my daily headphone i use but if i didn't have the 7XX, i would use the Sennheiser 598/558 over the Philips SHP9500. But with that said, to the OP, if you like the looks of the SHP9500, don't mind the branding of Philips over Sennheiser, want to save a little bit of money and like a party style, loud, hyped modern music, you might like the SHP9500 more.
  21. The color and i believe the SE comes with 2 cables, the long cable with a 1/4" connector and a 1.2m 3.5mm jack. I don't know if Sennheiser has added the 1.2m cable to the original 598 but i don't think they have.
  22. From your description, i can say the 558 will be much better than the 633 artemis spectrum. The 558 have a much larger sound stage, i mean MUCH larger. 558's have better sound quality. 558 is much more comfortable. Even if you did need a microphone, i would suggest the 558 + V-Moda Boom mic because the 558 is infinitely better. The only reason you would go for Logitech 633 is that it might be that you really like the pointless flashy RGB on a headset, or need heavy bass, or need a mic but cant spend anymore after purchasing the 558. At that cost, there are other better gaming headset options, Hyper X Cloud 2, Creative H5. For movies and music and gaming, the 558 is much better due to its large sound stage (logitech 633 can't even compare) and much better sound quality. This might seem like a post just talking how bad the 633 are but its not really. You just compared a audio headphone to a gaming headset. gaming headsets are known to be very crappy in terms of sound quality and building a headset out of a headphone would've always been recommended over a gaming headset. in terms of gaming headsets, 633 isn't bad compared to the other headsets but there are very few other options that are better.
  23. TBH, if your going to play FPS and MOBA, i personally recommend the G303. It has the better sensor and the better mouse buttons. Zowie's Huano's i don't like to click them a lot. After using the 3366, i don't want to go back to a 3310 sensor. And the mouse buttons on G303 are heavenly, although the shape is a problem. Just my opinion though.
  24. I'm assuming you're getting a Zowie due to FPS games right? Then probably the FK series is the best option, its lighter than the EC series. It won't be as comfortable but theres really not a huge difference in the comfort section, They are pretty equal, just that FK are lighter.
