  1. My PC has this problem where when I am loading a game, for example, League of Legend's loading to screen to get in a game, if I alt + tab out of the loading screen, the rest of my PC is slow and lagging. When I alt tab out to watch youtube videos, I watch the video at like 10fps. Not only that, moving my cursor is laggy and the cursor lags behind, same as typing, it lags behind. But everything goes back to normal when my game finishes loading and gets into game. I play all of my games in borderless windowed mode. I have checked task manager and my memory is not at 100% usage. My PC specs are a Ryzen 3600 with 16gb of 3200Mhz Corsair vengeance memory. The games are all stored in my Crucial P1 m.2 SSD. I have tried with G-Sync on and off and nothing is fixing this issue. Also another thing is that my taskbar is flashing when I am alt tabbed out of the loading screen on to my main windows screen,
  2. So a PC I built a month ago has had this issue where it would often become unresponsive and freeze. The freezing would happen every so often, sometimes every few days. Also the freezing would happen slowly, as in while I can move my mouse and click on things, the clicking won't do anything. So I've experienced that when my PC becomes unresponsive, I can click on to another program like Discord while I'm browsing on chrome, the discord app won't show up, I can't even click on a different tab to move. When I click to close chrome or anything else, it won't close. I can however, click on my start button and open that up. However, even if I do this and click on shutdown, my PC won't shutdown. Another thing I noticed is my RGB on my build. I built a fully white themed RGB build, but every time this freezing problem occurs, the RGB would be reset to the basic Corsair rainbow swirl that happens before iCue loads such as the times when I boot my PC. The only ways to fix this issue is to forcefully shut down my PC by either holding down the power button or to flip my PSU off. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Well Asus recommends a 850W minimum PSU for this card so I guess I don't really need anything higher than 850W, but correct me if I'm wrong (since this was the only reason I'm considering a 1000W PSU) but if I have a higher power capable PSU, wouldn't the 1000W PSU handle 850W better than the 850W PSU and thus fan spin slower, more quiet etc?
  4. I'm wondering what PSU I should get. So I purchased the Strix 3080 OC graphics card and Asus recommends a 850W PSU for this card and rumors say that this card can draw up to 450W by itself so I don't think my current EVGA 650W PSU will cut it. I'm planning on getting a Corsair PSU since I've heard those were the best but I'm stuck between deciding between a Corsair HX 850W Platinum standard PSU or the RMx 1000xW Gold standard PSU. Both are exactly the same price. Which one should I go for?
  5. 9319 for Graphics Score alone in 3DMark Demo TimeSpy. 21791 for Graphics Score alone in 3D Mark Demo Fire Strike
  6. I've used a 34inch 1440p for a month. Its just too big for me right now as i go a dual monitor set up.
  7. 5700XT. The price difference is about $35? I'm more wondering if there will be a big difference in video and gaming quality. I've used a 1440p monitor on a 34inch before for a month-ish when I was living away and the image definitely seemed sharper than what I was used to but now, I've forgotten and I can't really remember. Also that was a 34 inch monitor. Wondering how much difference there would be on 27 inch.
  8. I am currently using a cheap 60Hz 24 inch monitor. I want to upgrade to a 27 inch monitor with 144Hz. I've heard that Gigabyte Aorus monitors are pretty good and so I'm considering on buying them. I can't decide between the 1080p and 1440p resolution. Both are the same IPS panel, same 27 inch size, I believe the only difference is that one is 1080p and the other is 1440p. Would I see quite a big difference in image quality and sharpness in videos and games if I use a 1440p monitor or is 27 inch a bit too small in size to see a big difference difference between the two resolution compared to 32 inch and such.
  9. Yes, the RAM is clocked at 3200Mhz. As for bottlenecking, I'm not sure, but the video where a person tested the RX 5700XT in Apex said the performance was the same between all 3 CPU he tested with, the 3700X, 3600, and 8700K. As for Heaven Benchmark 4 scores, I've found a score of 6700 using EVGA 2070 Super and a Ryzen 3600.
  10. Yep I know that Apex is poorly optimized, but other benchmark/testing videos also used the Ryzen 3600 and got those results I was mentioning. As well as my heaven benchmark score being far below expected for a 2070 super has me concerned.
  11. I'm getting lower than expected frames for my ASUS Strix 2070 Super. I've seen some benchmark fps testing from some videos and my card isn't getting anywhere near it. I've seen RX 5700 XT get over 200fps in Apex Legends and the 2070 Super is known to get better frames than RX 5700 XT in Apex Legends. However, I've never seen my frames go above 170 and my average is at 117fps at low/competitive settings, whereas, Hardware Unboxed got 129(?) average fps at high settings. Other videos also seems to get results similar to HWU, much higher than mine. I benchmarked my card using Heaven Benchmark 4 at 1080p extreme settings, my results were 117 average fps and a score of 2989. Online, it seems other peoples scores with the 2070 Super are around 6000-7000. Is there something wrong with my card? I have latest drivers installed. Also my card is on stock (factory OC) performance bios and gets max temp of 63C during Heaven Benchmark 4 Using Ryzen 3600, 8GBx2 G.Skill 3200Mhz RAM, Only using M.2 SSD, 750W PSU, GPU powered by 2 separate 8pin cables
  12. Could I ask what your card is and what its temp is at idle?
  13. Hello, I've currently got an ASUS Strix RTX 2070 Super Advanced. I'm not sure if this supports zero rpm mode as its not the OC version, but I don't know why it wouldn't. Can anyone confirm that my GPU does have a zero RPM mode and does anybody know how I can change it to that setting without having MSI Afterburner running in the background 24/7. Its at 38C idle and spinning at 1100 rpm.
  14. Its not coil whine, because while my GPU does have a bit of coil whine, I know what it sounds like since I hear it when I play BDO. It does not sound like coil whine, it sounds more like a constant whine from wind than from a coil. My GPU is also very clean, unless you mean clean between the cooler fins, because I haven't checked that, but highly unlikely how little dust there was on the fan.
  15. I've checked my RPM, its at 800RPM for my GPU fans. Also my fans are clean, very little dust buildup. I also really doubt its whining due to dust build up as its a problem that comes and goes. I can recreate the issue by afking long enough my computer goes to sleep by being idle, and the issue occurs when I power it up again.
  16. I have an ASUS Strix RTX 2070 Super Advanced GPU that I have been using for about less than a year now. Recently, everytime I leave my computer on and afk until it goes to sleep from idling, after I power it back on, there is a whining sound from my GPU. I think its from the fans. It isn't coil whine since I know what that sounds. Last time I fixed this by unmounting my GPU and mounting it back but I don't want to do that every single time. Does anyone know what could be the issue and know how to fix this without remounting my GPU or know how I can put my GPU into zero RPM mode when all I'm doing is idling away on browser or youtube? Edit: I found another way to fix this is by shutting down my computer for like an hour and powering it back on. However, restarting did not fix this issue.
  17. To my knowledge XC cards use a reference PCB. If the FTW3 is using a custom PCB I'm gonna assume it has better performance in temperature and clock speed. Would that be a reason to spend $20 more for the FTW3 model?
  18. any other difference other than that? different heat sink, pcb, clock speed?
  19. As title says. Whats the difference between EVGA's XC Ultra and FTW3 graphics card? There seems to only be a $20 difference.
  20. I guess the better comparison is MSI Gaming X Trio vs EVGA XC Ultra. Both cost exactly the same.
  21. Well I do care about customer service but I also question how useful it would be when I'm in Australia. Also the EVGA FTW3 Ultra has a price premium of $75 compared to Gigabyte and $30 compared to MSI. Just wondering if that price premium is worth it over something like the MSI Gaming X Trio. I've never used either Gaming X or FTW3 series so i have no clue regarding their build quality. I'm mostly concerned about Gigabytes card as there seems to be many people reporting problems especially problems with its fans.
  22. So I plan on getting a new graphics card and I am currently looking at two cards in particular, Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2070 Super ($635) and the MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 2070 Super ($680). The MSI one does cost about $50 more but it seems to be a higher quality product. I want to know if Gigabyte and MSI makes quality, trustworthy graphics card. I've read many reviews saying the Gigabyte Gaming OC are very good cards but I've also read many comments about them having issues with fans breaking, fan rattling, coil whine, just overall quality being poor. I've also read people warning to avoid Gigabyte 10XX series card in general. I haven't seen many reviews of MSI though so I am confused. So I would like any thoughts, comments, opinions of these two GPUs. I wouldn't mind paying $50 more for a much more trustworthy, higher quality product, but only if Gigabyte cards aren't as trustworthy as people say they are. Edit: Theres also the Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2070 Super for the exact same cost as MSI X Trio as well as EVGA FTW3 Ultra and ASUS Dual RTX 2070 Super for $30 more but preferrably choose between the Gigabyte and MSI. Gigabyte vs MSI. Which brand is better for GPU in terms of quality?
  23. Is windforce not a good series or something? I was just mainly thinking about the $50 increase from a high end 2070 to a low end 2070 super but still a 2070 super regardless. Can a higher end 2070 can come close to a low end 2070 super in terms of performance ?
  24. I was looking at the 5700XT as it only costs $470 but I really hate the blower style fan and thermals are important to me. I've used a MSI Aero GTX 1080 before and as a blower style fan it would hit 94 degrees celsius relatively easy even in PUBG. I would definitely consider it it there were aftermarket dual or triple fan builds but sadly I can't find any. Using Ryzen 3600, Samsung 970 Pro SSD, ASUS ROG Strix-F X470 mobo, 16GB HyperX Predator Ram at 3200Mhz. EVGA Supernova G3 750W.
