  1. i have a fine pc so i bought this to use it as a portable workstation so thats a bummer... i guess i really have no choice then. thanks
  2. not complaining to you by the way any way to bypass the system?
  3. then what is the point of having a high end cpus in laptops when you cant even use them unplugged?
  4. i did the power management thing in the power options, but thanks. well that is disappointing
  5. so... if i want to use it to its full capacity i need a wall plug?
  6. I have a i5 7600 on my laptop and i can't use its full 3.5 ghz frequency when it is unplugged. it only kicks in when it gets plugged in. i found it while trying to figure out why a kabylake i5 with a 1050 was struggling to get 60fps on league of legends. on battery, it is using only 1.7ghz with a much more quiet fan spinning. so basically, laptop cpu is only working properly when it is plugged. [There is no setting related to it on the BIOS]. any help? and also, i think this website is a bit too slow, in terms of loading threads. my internet is fine.
  7. *extremely late update* for anyone else who might have this problem later on, update your intel graphics driver first. then you may be able to find your graphics card.
  8. damnit. alright. thanks for all the help and suggestions
  9. it says unclaimed 3d contoller, product and vendor is nvidia corporation. so it is there, just not recognized i think? edit: took some time to backup and format the bootup usb
  10. i've never even thought about installing linux... should i?
  11. it has enable/disable options and google says it is for overclocing. it was enabled by default so i just left it.
  12. in advanced there is a andvanced chipset control and all i see is a gpu performance scaling, flexicharger, sw guard extensions, and vt-d. the rest is sata settings
  13. hmm i hope i'm gonna try that last though... but thanks neverthless the only gpu related option in the bios i found was the one for allowing overclocking. can you tell me what it should say roughly?
  14. is that the only option...? its a non-named brand model from korea and isnt sold worldwide, so... but its a hansung xh57 i havent reinstalled windows yet. i bought the non windows included version.
