Since you mentioned 0.25Hz or 5Hz, are you sure you're not changing the Base Clock? Iirc base clock also changes the speed at which South And North Bridges run, (RAM too?). I bumped my MB 5 years back from 100Hz to 120Hz and the thing never booted on its first attempt ever again.

If you go with the default settings, disable turboboost and set the ratio of all cores to a little below turboboost speed, does it still crash?

The fix to this is usually to unplug the monitor's power cable for around 5 minutes and reconnect again to unload a capacitor or something.

If you do end up returning that aio, I would recommend getting an EVGA CLC 280. Out of all the AIO I've personally tested, I got the best performance out of that one, and it's only $125.

I don't know of any cooling solution that will accomplish that. I spent over $700 on my full loop and I get around 55C average under full load.

Not sure the dpi difference matters much.

Have you looked in to your grip style? So you don't buy a mouse for a grip you don't use.

    Red team is AMD.
Not mixing ram is usually because you want more memory channels. Which is great! Except for when your motherboard (or CPU) doesn't support one group of four sticks. Most I've seen have one primary and one slave slot, times two. This you can see when you look at the RAM-slots and notice they're colored differently. Your mobo manual will tell you best if you support it or not, but the price will also give a good indication of what to expect.

I'd pick an RM700x maybe even RM800x since the price difference is so low.

My thinking is I'd keep an RMx twice as long as a CM, which justifies the price rather well.

Actually it's got 10 year warranty.

You could get a UPS. That would eliminate any possible concerns of bad (not faulty) wiring.

    +1
Cheap PSUs bring problems like other hardware dying prematurely because of bad power regulation, especially as time goes by. Really shouldn't run one of those more than three years if you care about the rest of your computer. Another problem is higher power bills, which you probably already knew of.
Thirdly, you most likely wont notice a dying PSU until its too late, probably switching out other components that are dying for no apparent reason.

It has run above 90 deg tho, when I connected my AOI watercooler wrongly and shorted it. Thought it'd be cool to screenshot the >500MHz I was getting.

That's then years of warranty, half a freaking generation that is. Might be able to hand it down to any future child if you're in luck

The power plug from your case is a thin, individual cable, about 5 or 6 of them bundled together that plug directly into a pin out on your motherboard. They look similar to this:

Yeah it is.  It is fine for oc on the stock bios. It's more to do with the rating of the phases rather than the number. If you look up actually hardcore overclocking he has a channel. And a website that explain this kind of thing. He hasn't done a pcb breakdown of the rs but I did ask him a few hours ago via telegram

The RS is pretty bad if you want to OC but if you are staying stock clocks its a decent card. Id recommend the Nitro though. It and the GTR seem to be the best cards for OCing

it has a lesser vrm than the ref card same as the power color devil 13 card. 4 power phases instead of 5. the cooler is ok and the vrm is still fine. still better than the gigabyte.
