jkjoonas got a reaction from J.b091 in What ever happened to real AA?
I am kind of confused about "the real AA", and the lack of AA support.
Really, what modern (triple A big budget) games don't support "proper" AA?

Yep, as said above, put the CPU under some load. My CPU idles around 40-45c, but in gaming it only goes up to 55-60c. Idle temperatures don't show the full picture.

please do a stress test, with out that you wont know if the cooler is actually doing its job.

the 7700k is kind of a beast when it comes to high temps. that v core is pretty high try manually underclocking. you should be able to get it stable at 4.5 ghz with less volts

If you really want to find out if your cpu cooler is not working, put it under heavy load and check in. Idle temps do not necessarily tell the whole story.
What is your room temperature?

jkjoonas reacted to LyondellBasell in Stand/arm for drawing tablet?
Ergotron sells monitor arms specifically designed to hold tablets. I believe there are also VESA-mount adapters that you can buy for a different brand monitor arm if, say, you want to mount both a monitor and a tablet together.

I used a monitor stand for a diy cintiq
Took out the monitor and it's vesa mount
Screwed the vesa mount to the diy cintiq
And then screwed the vesa mount with the diy cintiq to the monitor stand
The monitor was a Dell that allowed rotating the screen like a steering wheel and also adjusting the height and slant

Your computer shouldn't use that much RAM at idle.
It sounds like you have some programs running in the background which eats up a lot of memory.
Open task manager and then in the process tab sort by memory. If you want you can post a screenshot of it here.

jkjoonas reacted to LogicalDrm in best pc parts store?
Local pricing will always depend on local taxing on electronics and any duty fees. If you can get parts from central Europe cheaper than local, thats the way to go. Amazon.de and Mindfactory.de are probably best stores to check out. Amazon might not ship everything.

How bad taxes are from Europe to Israel?
If they are not unbearable, I would highly recommend Mindfactory.de or any European Amazon retailer. Assuming the imports from US are higher, than from Europe.

jkjoonas reacted to Ruffleduffle in CSGO for £4??
Because most of the keys on G2a are stolen with creditcards obtained through fraud.
Please dont support such means of transactions, it really hurts the gaming industry as a whole

Cs go is not related to the activation region. You can connect to virtually any server.

jkjoonas got a reaction from paddy-stone in Best gaming case for under £100
Have you taken a look at Fractal design meshify C?
And please refrain from using the cringy term "gaming case" ever again. It is your gaming system, but not a gaming case.

running on Auto Volts is not stock voltage

jkjoonas got a reaction from QuantumBit in Okay 1080ti any pro who can help?
The point is saving a buttload of money and getting neglibly "worse" results in the process. Yes some games are better optimized for intel, but does it really matter always? No it doesn't.

jkjoonas reacted to TheOskar57 in What's better, Corsair H110i or Corsair H100i V2? (Please tell me in the comments why)
Yeah true that, but the H110i is only 3 euros more over here than the H100i V2, I also would want to futureproof myself since I might be upgrading to Z270 Platform.

jkjoonas got a reaction from Pachuca in What's better, Corsair H110i or Corsair H100i V2? (Please tell me in the comments why)
In my experience the h110i has far better performance, but it is more expensive too. I am sitting at a comfortable max temp of 65c with 4.0ghz 6800k and a gtx 1080 oc'd @ 76c under sythetic loads (with stock fans @ 900rpm that is), with h100i, my temps were around 15 to 20 degrees higher (ek vardar fans @ 900 rpm), perhaps my h100i unit was faulty.
Judging your hardware setup, you have no need for h110i cooling power. The h100 v2 or similar will save you money and space inside your chassis. The h110i is more useful when doing heavier overclocks on something like 7700k or a higher tdp processor.
Either way you can't really go wrong here.

jkjoonas reacted to MEC-777 in What ever happened to real AA?
I found a better solution is to run DSR/VSR at 1440 or 4k on my 1080p display and keep AA settings low or off altogether. In some cases the end result is better image quality/sharpness and better performance due to some forms of AA being more demanding than simply running a higher resolution without AA.
I do this with most games I play.

Yeah, I can see you are stretched for cash if you can only afford a 6800K and GTX 1080.

jkjoonas reacted to LinusTech in @LinusTech Twitter Account Hacked
On June 28, 2016 the Linus Media Group domain registrar account was compromised.
The exact methodology of the "hack" won't be disclosed for obvious reasons, but I can assure you that despite any claims to the contrary, the appropriate safeguards were in place on our side, and as I type this Yvonne is having a very heated phone discussion with the 3rd party responsible for the breach.
Anyway, the thing most of you are probably wondering about right now is what this means for your forum account or personal information, and the answer is very simple:
NOTHING.
The "hacker" simply changed the DNS settings in the dashboard and did not at any time have access to the linustechtips.com server. Any claims of a database dump are categorically false.
The compromised accounts - including Twitter - have been restored.
I hope this clears things up.
