People have been having issues running more displays on nVidia for quite some time
    https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/837748/pc-components/5-6-monitor-setup/post/4549824/

I would also suggest getting a cheap AMD card with MST DP hub

for desktop use VRAM is not of any concern, worst case scenario it will swap to system RAM and you won't even notice it

no, that's why you need more display ports

you do realize this is not for gaming, right?

first of all here's a list of supported GPU acceleration hardware for Creative Studio
    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html

chose any one of those according to your budget,
keep in mind that historically Adobe was focused on CUDA acceleration and there are still some CUDA specific features that do not yet have support for OpenCL in the latest version

$249. It's a little more than the 480, but it's (apparently) more like a 980, while the 480 is more like a 970. Except while the 970 could overclock the difference away, by all accounts the 480 cannot.

Obviously I would wait for benchmarks to decide finally, but the 1060 is actually looking better than the 480 this time around, given such a modest price difference.

Fair enough. Not that I think you should be doubling up on this tier of card either way, now or in the future.

I can't believe people are still repeating this complete bullshit in July 2016.

    there's so much wrong here...

    - if you insist on an amd processor, *please* wait on zen
    - asus arent the most OC friendly gpu's they're not built for that
    - 120GB SSD is a waste of money, 240 is MUCH better price per GB, and actually wont make you kill yourself over the limited space on your C drive.
    - its not that the CX will detonate the moment you push the power button, its that in most cases you can get much, MUCH better quality power supplies for the same price.

Umm, you can correct me when you're actually right, which you're not in this case. PCPartPicker only adds up the estimated TDP values and says it's the total wattage, which it's not.

Here is the total power consumption of a system that is made of an R9 390 and an i7-4790K overclocked to 4,5gHz during gameplay of The Witcher 3.

    System containing an R9 290X and an FX-8350 OC'd to 4,7gHz.:
Note how the power consumption never went above 450Watts when paired an FX-8350 @4,7gHz and an R9 290X. Which draws a similar amount of power as the 390.

Seem like a hardware issue. I think for its age, its quite normal for some ports to intermittently stop working.

dreamhacking reacted to App4that in Deals for GTX 980 TI
Not all scenarios, a 980ti crushes a 1070 in video editing and most rendering. A 980ti beats a 1080 at that in fact. Plus the 980ti scales better when overclocked. That golden will beat a 400 dollar 1070, which has yet to be released. Every 1070 so far is over 400 bucks.

It fits because there are standoffs for it rather than it just being smaller.

I run 2x AF140 (bought them by mistake) and i don't mind that it has no PWM since 1080RPM is quite anyway. Go for the SP version.

You should use Static Pressure for a push/pull configuration or any radiator, either noctua's NF-F12 or corsair SP140 series will be fine

dreamhacking reacted to HKZeroFive in i5 6500 OR FX 8320E ?
Easily the i5 6500. The IPC and single core performance is superior to that of the 8320E, which makes it a much better choice for gaming. Also has a better upgrade path (whereas AM3+ is a dead socket) + DDR4 RAM.
