  1. I've managed to overclock it to 4.9Ghz on 1.28V without much issue now. Temperatures are stable at around 84°C and a peak temp of 89°C after the proper way of repasting. Thanks very much for the tip
  2. That was with the side panel off, with it on, it gets around 72 average.
  3. Ok I repasted the CPU to as thin as I possible could as well as repasting the CPU heatsink as thin as I could and the temps dropped to a max of 75°C with an average of around 69°C.
  4. Its on stock voltages and its already on MX4 underneath the IHS.
  5. It was a brand new sealed unit I bought from HK whilst I was there so returning it isnt gonna be viable. I've delidded and used MX4 paste underneath the IHS as I dont want to use LM. The case is an NZXT H510i with two Noctua fans at the front and the stock NZXT fans at the top and rear.
  6. So I've recently purchased an 8700K and it seemed to be running hot on stock speeds and stock turbo speeds (4.3Ghz) as the temps are reaching 80°C under load on an NH-D15 and H100i V2 and 40°C idle. I've been reading around forums with people hitting those temps overclocked. I've reseated the CPU a few times and used MX4 paste. I haven't a clue whats going on. I used Aida64 for the stress tests.
  7. I wonder if they'll be smart enough to plug it into a PC lmao
  8. I kinda plugged it into my PC to charge them and up came a 16MB FAT formatted partition. Does anyone know what thats for? Its a good way to keep important files I suppose lmao
  9. So I bought a Crucial P1 NVMe SSD and it works great... Except that it intermittently disappears and only reappears after a hard reboot. I dont have a clue why its doing this. I've tried swapping the SSD's over from slot 1 to slot 2 and it still disappears after a few restarts. I don't really know why its doing this.
  10. I'll try a ground loop isolator first to see if that fixes the issue. Then I'll proceed to finding out how to set up balanced cables on my monitors.
  11. So how would I connect two audio cables to my PC without an audio interface is what I'm asking.
  12. There is interference (hissing background noise) hence why I'm asking for a solution, to my stupidity, I noticed the diagram in the image showing how balanced cables should work but now I'm struggling to find out an answer as to how I would get balanced audio in the first place. Would I need to get an external audio interface?
  13. I have a pair of Presonus Ceres 4.5BT and they have an unbalanced input for RCA but a balanced input for two 6.25mm jacks. I'm just wondering if I was to get a standard dual 6.25mm to a single 3.5mm jack, Would I get balanced audio? Most dual 6.25mm to 3.5mm cables have a TRS 3.5mm and a TS 6.25mm end so I was wondering if I would still get balanced audio from these cables. Is it going to be just the same as 3.5mm to RCA? Would I need a seperate device between the audio source and the speakers? Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Why is why I doubt that was the case. the Volume increases on PC than the phone so it must be the difference in drivers.
  15. Just confirming that the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is indeed digital as I have plugged it into a TB3 port on a PC and required drivers to function. This is the same as the razer adapter which required drivers to work. Still yet to find out which dac is used inside the adapter but I can tell you that the audio output is decent and is clean sounding. Nothing much else. Output on phones are quite a bit quieter however. Not sure if that is to do with the difference in drivers from windows to android or if it cannot power the device properly which I doubt is the case. Need to test on a google pixel to confirm if it'll work on that device. This is so that you have more options for adapters that will work on most phones instead of some phones. I'll be testing the OnePlus USB-C to 3.5mm adapter in the near future to confirm if its digital or analog.
