AMD accepted an RMA on my CPU and the new chip did not have the issue.

3090s are basically all over the place with overclock.  Some reference models hitting 2200, some high end ones like KPE not doing over 2100.  It seems this generation there isn't much/any binning going on by OEMs.

There isn't really any purpose in buying a Strix or similar.  Get whatever one has a Bykski block + backplate available because they're cheap and work well.  EK seems to be pretty bottom of the pack for delta T.   The big difference between these cards is how beefy the VRM is but it seems even the reference designs can handle 1000W, and the air cooler design which you don't care about if you're waterblocking anyways.

If you really want to use a 500W+ BIOS though you need to have a 3x 8 pin card.  2x 8 pins don't play nice with those bioses and you usually lose at least 1 display output.

On thing I do suggest is the 120 if you want to "future proof" as you say, because the 140 cuts off GPU length. Also, I'm doing an SG13B build for a client when Zen 2 drops and I'm gonna be tackling the 12 core with a 120mm, I'd be happy to post how that goes.

Needs more filing and some paint touch up. If I ever want to go back, the dust filter should hide the mod.

If you have a PC beep speaker plugged into the motherboard, you can do the most basic test:

Leave only: CPU, Heatsink, 24pin and 4/8pin power. No gpu no ram.

This should give a long shrill tone (memory error) if it does not. Suspect board powersupply or chip (I would start with PSU, then board).

    Since you insisted:
Home 64-bit supports UP TO 128GB.
Pro 64-bit supports UP TO 512GB.

I built myself a dual E5 2670 server and tried to install Windows 10. Everything was fine for a while until the system started randomly freezing and blue screening. I did some research and as it turned out the motherboard didn't have support for windows 10 (As in it could work but was never tested.) so I rolled back and installed windows 7 and it's been running fine ever since. Try window 7 and see if it behaves. I can tell you Windows 7 Ultimate can handle at least 128GB of RAM.

Also to note if you don't really need Windows 10 as a native OS you could try simulating it in a VM. Don't ask me how well it'd perform.
