as far as I know, they pay VAT for you you if you pay for the priority shipping. But it's a liitle bit of a gable. 

Fast Sync only "works well", if your fps are twice as high, as your Refresh rate.
On a 60 Hz Monitor, that will be around 120 fps neded, to make Fast Sync work properly. Which means, you CAN get high input Lag, if your fps are not high enough. 
And it can lead to inconsistent frame spacing^^ Which will get eliminated, with high enough fps.
 
However, there is of course a possibility, that this "issue" is minimized by having 144+ Hz, and won't bother you at all, since 144 Hz can be fast enough for this.

If you have a 144 or 165 Hz G-Sync monitor, there is no real reason to use fast sync. Except you paly CS:GO with 300 fps.
 
i would simply use G-Sync, and raise the Visual quality so much, untill you're in your range.
If you use 144 Hz, and your game puts out 300 fps at low/medium settings, just set it to ultra, so it runs at 140 fps~. Just as smooth, low input lag, no tearing, and looks better/sharper.

Unused RAM is worthless RAM. 

The part that really bugs me is that they labeled the video "The Truth" when in reality, it's far from that. 

First of all, this is clearly one of the worst LMG videos I have ever seen. Especially the shout out to Louis and statements like planned obsolescence  is very unprofessional and make me kinda sad.
The facts why apple could not go with 32GB of RAM have been listed here, so I will not add anything to this.

I'm sorry, but no. This video is bad. The reason is pretty simple and obvious if you actually do research instead of jumping on the Apple Hate Bandwagon.
 
Apple used Skylake processors which support two kinds of memory: LPDDR3 and DDR4. LPDDR3 uses less power per gig than DDR4, so obviously Apple would go with that. Unfortunatly, the controller for LPDDR3 only supports up to 16 GB of RAM. When Apple claims it's limited for battery life, they're not lying; putting even 20 GB of RAM would force them to use DDR4.
 
Now, I'm not defending Apple here. If you're going to market it as a "Pro" laptop, 16 GB of RAM is just wrong. Sure, the majority of people don't need more than 16 GB, but that doesn't mean EVERYONE can get by with 16 GB. Apple's obsession with thiness has clearly gotten in the way of making a "Pro" laptop.
 
Hate Apple all you want, but don't hate if you don't even know the reason behind their decisions. And before you say "Apple is greedy" or some other stupid thing, think about how stupid that makes you sound: "I hate Apple because they sell expensive stuff". So? It's not your money. If someone wants to buy a laptop with 2015 specs for $2500, why do you care? Ever seen how much a Rolex costs?

First of all, they use LPDDR3 RAM, NOT DDR4 SODIMM RAM as their only option from intel was to go with skylake quad cores. This itself pretty much invalidates all your comparisons
 
Second, if they ever wanted to put anything above 16GB, they would've had to go with SODIMM DDR4 which would be much more power hungry (& space consuming, hence battery) than for a laptop this thin and light with a good battery life
 
Third, the outcome of the video was pretty obvious when I saw @Slick on the thumbnail. He's pretty ignorant when it comes to Apple and doesn't seem to know anything about their products rather always hopping in the iHate Apple bandwagon. Example, and since when can LPDDR equipped laptops can have upgradable memory. It's not like they soldered a SODIMM RAM just for the sake of it
 
And Jon, you too seem ignorant if you actually think Apple intentionally didn't make a 32GB Option. Other than the power/space barriers, I will give an easier analogy for haters to digest on, If 32GB was indeed possible Apple could've easily tiered it in a higher end with extra premium and reap more profit, but fact check they didn't
 
PS They may have removed traditional ports, but professionals including LMG I believe uses 10Gb/s network and thunderbolt to move files around, meaning professionals investing in higher end equipment just for better performance/convenience. Talk about not catering to professionals when hypocrites don't realize Apple just released a device with much superior ports compared to anything else in the market, that too with a good number of them especially considering that the port can be daisy-chained
 
And, rather than Type-C only being relevant to professionals it is also relevant to consumers and just because of this move you guys can thank Apple 2 years later down the road for ubiquitous Type-C adoption

The Palit GTX 1080 GameRock Premium Edition ships with the core clock overclocked to 1,747mhz, with one of the highest boost clocks we have seen, resting at 1886mhz. Memory is overclocked as well, to 1,314mhz (5,256mhz effective).
 
Seems like a nice 1080 too.  Looks like a 2.5 slot beast.

Your GPU memory overclock may have further contributed to CPU instability.  As you push more through the GPU, you demand more of the CPU.  

I know the GTX 1080 has some display port issues with a few 4k monitors, Dell being among those. Not sure if you are using a display port cable but you could try a different port if you have a cable for it.
 
The game is still running and you arent getting driver errors which means the connection between your GPU and monitor somehow has been "severed". I doubt its a power issue. Try a HDMI cable if you have one.
 
PS: A friend just told me this is a driver related issue and affects other cards as well. You could still try another cable just to check. My last recommendation would be for you to uninstall the drivers using DDU and install the newest Nvidia drivers when that is done. Do not install any other GPU related software and test the card.

What do you mean, disabling vsync?

okay, I didn't think of a CPU overclock problem because I can force the issue to happen more frequently when overclocking GPU memory.
But I'll try without afterburner and CPU overclock.

I got the Gamerock Premium for a week now. Very good card. Super low noise (fans at around 1200rpm) at 70°C overclocked to 2025 MHz.
I can't believe they are available in Germany and people are still waiting for the STRIX.

It would be cool if companies invested in build quality instead of RGB lighting and other bullshit.
You know what features I want in my product? The good build quality feature, I'll take 1 order of good build quality with my product pls, skip the RGB.
