I did the extended hardware test and I had nothing come up. I have not reset the PRAM. -

I'm not sure what that is. I can't get into safe mode, it just tries to update and then it shuts off. -

I have a macbook pro and it is trying to install an update when I turn it on and it shuts down like halfway through the update every time. I have tried booting into safe mode or running disk utility but it does not work. Any ideas?

My point was that you can always save more there's nothing wrong with it lol.

Hmm. I do like Asus products in general, but I'm not a big fan of refurbs. I'm thinking that second Asus you included looks pretty nice. They send the Windows key with these right for when I have to reinstall on the new SSD?

Father wants a new laptop but he has bad vision so he'd like a bigger screen. Doesn't really matter the resolution, he just wants to enlarge the text so he can read it. I want him to have an SSD or the hybrid drive so he it feels much faster for him. He does mainly surf the web but he does occasionally need it for other tasks. Any suggestions?

I was wondering if a 50 foot cat 6 ethernet cable would be better than using my wireless 5G connection. I'm currently a floor down and a room over from my router. Lately I've been experiencing a lot of ping spikes and wasn't sure if this would help and I'm open to other suggestions as well.
