  1. Username - Reuben01 https://www.vessel.com/videos/LCoY5zfFf https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 Noticed Vessel was a little slow on HD, hope that was just me and not the service cause I don't look forward to waiting for it to buffer every 2 minutes.
  2. Hopefully we see this technology implemented soon, although I won't expect anything anytime soon.
  3. You should be able to get to 4.6 without worrying about heat too much and core voltage. I have mine at 4.6 at the moment @1.25v which still gives it a bit of room. Although I can't say for your motherboard and how it handles overclocking.
  4. So many people from Aushere , lots more than I thought. What kind of games would you be playing with this and what kind of situation are you in regarding price? Looks pretty good so far, but if you are just playing lol or wow then it might be a little overkill.
  5. Mapping a non-existant network drive and locking up the machine for a good min or two while it tries to find it.
  6. I was just curious, although I didn't think the 3570 were that hot. While overclocking I heard that they have a higher temperature curve but were quite cool when stock.
  7. what kind of temps do you get out of an 8350?
  8. I don't know if this has already come up, or it is a duplicate thread, I took a quick look and didn't see anything so I apologise if there is already one up. I know there is a thread for rants with non-technical people but this thread should be a little more general than that one I hope. Where I work we have a forum for all the techs which is used quite often (I work in a school btw) and they have rant thread which has become a favourite of mine and I thought I would try and get the same thing going here. I shouldn't need to explain any more that what the topic title says, but I guess everyone should try and keep it clean and obviously not mention names if that is what you are going with. A few things which get to me are - Toolbars which are ticked by default to install - Toolbars which install along with ticking agree to terms and conditions - Symantec warning you about "Potential threats" and not doing anything about it - People who insist on using Norton because paying makes it better. - CursorMania with sparkly trails (or trails on a mouse in general)
  9. Totally reasonable for this to happen but I had front panel connectors which weren't labeled and motherboard pins which weren't labeled and I basically just closed my eyes and hoped for the best which didn't turn out so well. And when I was younger I though I knew too much and flipped the voltage switch on the back of the power supply, which gave me a huge fright when it blew up in front of me.
  10. BSOD's are generally cause by driver issues, whereas no POST can be as simple as badly seated RAM. Are you asking because you have a problem or you just want to learn?
  11. I have a lot of catching up to do, I have only just got a decent internet connection back and I missed out on the exciting stuff that was happening in the first few weeks of launch, I feel like a kid in a candy store.
  12. Trying to watch the 5/1 archive upload with a 256k connection, I get about 5 mins for about 20 mins of waiting. Definitely worth it.
