  1. I have a question and hope someone here can help me. I have a 2.1 speaker system on my PC and I'd like to connect my second to it also. I bought on ebay an audio switch which allows me to choose which PC is connected to the speakers. Despite the switch do its work, I simply can't use it because of the white noise that generates on the speakers. I open the switch box and it's just wires connecting to the switch itself, without any type of electronics to filter that white noise. Do you guys know of any switch that do filter the sound or the only way to clear that white noise is to buy an amp? By the way, which would be more suitable for my needs, a dac or an amp? Thank you.
  2. Yes, TV and phone can connect via bluetooth but speakers with wireless connection only have 1 input. Couldn't find any with 2 inputs. I'm amazed how something that should be easy is becoming really difficult
  3. Hi I'm looking to buy a 2.1 speaker system which allows me to connect 2 desktops, 1 TV and my phone. I found the Logitec Z533 which allows me to connect my 2 desktops and my phone but won't allow to connect any more devices. Been search but or I'm searching in the wrong places or such system don't exist. Do you guys know of such system or do you know how to use a standard 2.1 speaker system and transform it so it allows to connect multiple devices? thank you for all the help
  4. Hi. I' have a 2.1 speaker system which is more than enough for me. In today's world with laptops, smartphones, tablets, mp3 players, it can be problematic connect all of this to a speaker system. My idea would be to have a device where I would connect my speakers that then would allow to connect multiples devices at the same and also would allow the sound of those multiple devices could be heard at the same time without any loss of quality. Can anyone point me to the correct way? Thank you.
  5. I'm waiting to happen again to post a video. The last couple of days it has been OK.
  6. Something weird has been happening with my PC when I switch it ON. When the Windows logon page pops, the screens become all black and the only thing that it's visible is the mouse cursor, nothing else. By resetting the PC the image gets back and all works fine, without any other image issues. I have the drivers updated, I have Windows 10 updated. Can't understand what is happening here since it's something that only happens some times and only when I turn the PC on Thanks
  7. So I disassembled my PC, removed the motherboard, cleaned it, thermal paste on the CPU and graphic cards, open PSU, cleaned it also, assembled it and started the test process again, graphic card by graphic card, slot by slot, monitor by monitor and it's always the same, noise and horizontal lines. Made a new video, this time I disconnected all fans, PSU included and the noise (very similar to a HDD working) clearly is coming from the cards. The question is if the noise are really coming from the cards or the motherboard. http://www.screencast.com/t/F8nfxgvWYiZ I really couldn't care less about the noise because I cannot hear it when I close the box. The problem is that the horizontal lines on the screen are clearly related to the noise. The louder the noise the more noticeable the lines become.
  8. I already connected each of the other 5 monitors to each of the cards and all do the same. It's not the monitors. I already changed cables between monitors, tested brand new ones that I had here and the lines continue to be visible. I already disconnected all fans, the only one working was the PSU and the sound continued to be heard. I've been discarding all potential problems one by one and the noise continues there. The only thing I haven't tried yet is connect a different card brand and another PSU. I also installed the latest drivers. Imakuni, check the time I mentioned above. The "metalic" sound similar to a HDD is there. Thanks
  9. First of all I had no idea where to publish this since I have no idea what is causing this problem, graphic card, motherboard or power supply. I'm sure this is not a coil whine issue because the sound is different and also is indifferent of what I'm doing. This is not a game machine, is a working machine. The noise is constant but you'll noticed in the video that every minute the sound is very clear and identical to a HDD. I do not have a HDD in this machine. I have 2 SSDs so the noise is not coming from there. Clearly the noise is coming from where the graphics are but then again, it can also coming from the CPU or the PSU. My PC components are as follow: Asus P7P55 WS Intel i5 760 2.80GHz G.Skill DDR3-1333 PC3 - 12Gb Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120Gb OCZ Vertex2 120Gb I have 3 Nvidia Quadro NVS 290 graphic cards which I have connected 6 monitors. Everything has been working fine for the last 5 years till last month where I started to noticed some horizontal lines on my main monitor. I than noticed that those lines become more noticeable every time that noise is higher, which made me assume this would be graphic card related. But I already tried to only have 1 card connected, change cards between the several PCIe slots and the result is always the same, the noise and the lines in the main monitor. So the problem cannot be graphic card related because it would mean that all 3 cards got damaged at the same time. So now I'm thinking could this be PSU related, CPU related, the motherboard itself that might be damaged? I made a video where you can can see and hear what I'm talking about. The horizontal lines are not that visible but it's possible to noticed them. I also show the second monitor where the lines cannot be seen (it's only the main one) mas again, filling a screen with your cellphone is not the beat choice. When I move to the tower, notice minute 2:12, 3:13 and 4:12 where clearly we can hear that sound similar to a HDD working. The sound can be heard during the entire time I'm shooting the tower but at those seconds the sound becomes different, louder. http://www.screencast.com/t/y3wbKv1JWl This weekend I'm going to disconnect everything, clean all, change thermal paste to see if changes something but the connection between the sound and the horizontal lines in the screen is what concerns me. Thanks.
