Davinci Resolve. Try this first, and it will probably do everything any sane person would need a free video editor to do.

I still stand by my statement that the only good thing Australia has made in the last 10 years was the Ford Falcon, the Holden Commodore and the Chevrolet SS.

Going from 1080p 60hz to 1080p 144hz was a huge change for me, only thing I can compare it to is going from mechanical hard drive to a SSD. It really is that big of a difference. I looked at 1440p monitors but didn't want to have to sink a ton of cash into a video card to max out games and stay close to 144 fps, that's why i stuck with 1080p. If you have the money go for it

For that price I think it's a pretty easy choice to make, especially since it's probably a pretty nice VA panel.
I can't wait to join the 144hz crowd...the new CoD game has decided the date I need my new PC by.

For that price it’s a steal, it’s big, 1440p and 144hz va panel. I’d go for it

If you can't tell the difference, then it's fine. Honestly that was just my opinion slipping in since I can notice higher response times generally.

I've move from 1080p 60z to 1440p 144hz with my gtx 1070 and gotta say its the best feeling ever

Been using it for a year now... its smooth, most games gotta put you know shadow to medium couple things like that and you're good, if you want full 144 fps in competitive fps or else you know you just go to whatever low settings you need to obtain it

still many games run full ultra too
I tend to see it that way :

    Monitor last ~10 years
    CPU ~5-7 years
    GPU 3-5 years

RGProductions reacted to TheKDub in Can a new CPU damage an SSD?
Not really, no. The CPU used shouldn't affect an SSD at all.

It's possible you got unlucky and something got zapped in a way that killed the drive. Maybe unplug it, let it sit for 30 mins so it can think about what it has done, then try again?

My iphone battery has about 1000 cycles, and still retains about 85% of a brand new battery or so. My LG on the other hand, went through a battery in about 4 months before it would shut off at 30%.

RGProductions got a reaction from Electronics Wizardy in any idea why my gpu has 4gb vram but only uses 3500mhz of it?
IIRC windows by default will allocate some amount of ram as an overflow for your VRAM. In this case, I think it's allocating half of your system ram which would be 8 gigs, and 8 gigs plus 4 gigs equals 12 gigs.

ah yeah but it's not like it really matters you will still drop frames regardless of that buffer I believe as system ram is still much slower than VRAM

    Quality B450 board > bad X470 board.
Check which board is better here:
and check if the X470 chipset differences make sense for you (I believe more PCI lanes, more USB 3.0).

Not to mention they now tell you when they're throttling, and you can go to settings > battery > battery health and see the current max cap, if it's throttling or not, and if it is you can disable it and risk random shutoffs for better performance. They fucked up by not telling peeps about it at first, but they've more than fixed that specific mistake.

There's a long list of pros and cons for both platforms, they're about on a level with each other. Deciding between one or the other comes down to budget or personal preference.

maybe its factoring in your ram also because if i remember correctly if the video memory fills up it puts it in the ram

RGProductions reacted to trevb0t in ok so a real low budget pc build
Solid idea. @Herman Mcpootis's build demonstrates that the cost difference in grabbing a 1600 would allow you 16GB of RAM.
That's likely the way to go.

    It's actually not that similar.
The 2200G is a significant step down from the 1600/2600, and the 2GB 1050 has trash texture rendering capability vs the RX 570.
I'm also unsure why you would need to spend $30 on a Pure Rock Slim for a 2200G...
This is a far inferior build for budget gaming.

Also don't humor the builds that tell you to get a single RAM stick and grab another later.
You'll suffer hard until you do, and it's not guaranteed to match once you do.
