That's not eBay. That's an independent seller.
And yes, a 2080 Ti is better than a 3060 Ti and can be better than a 3070 and an RX 6800.

It's been said to death, but they're for the most part fine. Wood is actually really strong when you orient it in the right direction, and longevity isn't horrible either, probably in the range of 150 years or so (if properly maintained) before it's no longer economical to repair, and at that point building design will probably have changed enough that a new building will be more attractive anyway.

There are probably a couple of factors here. First, NA has large timber resources, so I imagine that simply the abundance of timber is one of the reasons why it is the dominant building material for homes.

There are also many areas of NA that don't benefit from using a more sturdy material. Where I live (Canadian prairies), there really isn't much benefit to having brick or concrete. Yes, Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coasts should have much stricter building codes due to hurricanes, same with Tornado Alley and the West Coast. But there are large parts of the continent where there's no substantial benefit to using brick and concrete. Timber is also much lighter and therefore cheaper and easier to transport.

Where I live, brick is very expensive and, iirc, isn't something that can be made locally; it all has to be shipped in. I understand that tornado alley is home to a large part of the US' poor population and so poverty also makes timber more attractive.

So, while I agree that using timber for certain areas makes little sense, seeing homes levelled by hurricanes year after year is just silly, but there are a lot of places where it doesn't make sense.

I don't know how relevant Sonova can be in the consumer audio space, but I'm thinking at least they are in the same ballpark when it comes to technology? At least they didn't sell out to some giant tech conglomerate with no experience in audio at all. Hopefully Sennheiser can still put out decent products, even under a new company, cause they've been well known in the headphone space for a while now.

Cryptocoin as unregulated stock.  That’s an interesting take.  Stocks didn’t used to be regulated.  It caused several major depressions the most famous being the Great Depression. If there’s commonality, and there seems to be, Means small players are going to get screwed because the stuff is effectively controlled by whoever is equivalent to J.P Morgan right now.

Yeah it's pretty bad at this point how much market manipulation he gets away with. Luckily for him crypto is unregulated so he doesn't have to deal with those pesky SEC people keeping him from tweeting random stuff.

To be fair, Retina MBP's have always had screens that are pretty goddamn killer. Comparing them to regular monitors is usually about as brutally unfair as drag racing a 2003 Grand Prix GT with a jet dragster. 😛

I’d sure hope so too. Don’t sweat it too much though, These batteries don’t just magically stop working. I see no reason why, in completely normal use, a battery wouldn’t last 4 years.

A High End Air Cooler (NHD15, or comprable) can go toe to toe with most 240mm AIOs.  360's can beat the air coolers, though, depending on models.

The top one (white) looks like an RGB cable of some kind. Check the manual that came with the fan/controller as there are different types of RGB headers, and check your motherboard manual to see if it has the corresponding header.
This will be so you can control the RGB colours on the cooler in software.

The bottom image (black) is a SATA power connector. You will plug that in to one of the SATA power cables coming from your computers power supply.
This will be to provide power to the fan hub.

Even high-end monitors have backlight bleed and IPS glow. It's just something you cannot get around no matter how high-quality your production process is. It's an inherent issue with LED-backlight-monitors.

@OP Looks fine to me. In dark rooms you should try to get the brightness down. This will make backlight-bleed and IPS glow less noticeable. Just an example: On daytime i use my monitor at a setting of 100 brightness, which results in around 500 nits. On nighttime i use it on 23, which is around 150 nits. Makes it more comfortable to your eyes and the image will look better at night.

I didn't read the thread, but as someone with an interest in the stuff here is my 2 cents:

Don't do it for any reason other than muscular and skeletal health. If you're willing to hustle a little bit, it isn't difficult to get half decent furniture for cheap (ikea and used- I think my whole house's furniture minus mattresses is worth maybe $3k and I could go wayyyy cheaper, and you can do it over time). Sitting less has certainly improved my health, and I think that is a real merit. Other than that, i'd have furniture

As someone who lives minimally and sorta tried the no furniture thing here's my advice. Don't try to plan ahead and furnish the whole place. Move in with nothing. Wait for your needs to become apparent and make deliberate purchases to satisfy those needs. After a few years you will probably have purchased several pieces of furniture but only those which are actually necessary.

    - If you're not already knowledgeable, it is time to learn about room treatments.
    - That's up to you. Decorations? A good chair?
    - If you want guests to be comfortable sleeping over, a guest room with a proper bed is warranted.
    - Again up to you. My advice is to try different things and discover what you prefer most. You can try quick DIY versions of things to see if the concept, like a standing desk, works before spending big bucks on something high quality.

RGProductions reacted to Ahoy Hoy in Please do not buy Behringer
I dislike Behringer products not because of the product but because of the company. Some of their products are very good but the company is a terrible company.

Today Behringer has crossed the line and announced its no longer going to sell products to small companies and instead focus only on major e commerce such as Amazon, Thomann, Sweetwater and Alibaba.
As a small distributor my self I had a Behringer whole sale account. I no longer have access to that as well every local music store, small install company, even reasonably large national companies have lost access. These companies are the backbone of the audio industry.

The company is well know to have some of the worst customer service. Have a look at reviews on trust pilot.
"Appalling customer service!"  "Good products but the worst customer service imaginable"
They also have terrible QA testing so its a common problem to have faulty equipment so don't think you wont ever need to call up their custom support because trust me you do.
Personal experience I was installing a Behringer X32 (professional large audio mixer worth about £1.5k) it took 3 replacement mixers before we got one which was working fully.

Behringer are also a terrible company to work for and steal designs and reverse engineer from other companies. If you care for audio and want research to continue and improvements to be made if you buy Behringer you are spitting in the face of progress. Glass door reviews for Behringer Reviews for Music Group/Tribe
Behringer is sadly such a large company it became Music Tribe and is now a parent company of many major brands who also have become tarnished by Uli Behringer's terrible company.
    I recommend you do not buy from any of these companies;
    Midas
    Klark Teknik
    TC Electronic/TC Helicon
    Bugera
    Turbosound
    CoolAudio
    Tannoy
    Lab Gruppen
    Auratone
    Lake

Photo evidence from emails and reviews inside spoiler

On this forum we recommend a few Behringer products more then others so I'm going to put some other products below to choose instead.
I realise some of these products are more expensive but design and research cost more than theft.

    Audio interfaces
    Steinberg UR12
    Mackie Onyx
    Tascam US 1x2
    M audio Air
    Presonus AUDIOBOX
    NI Komplete Audio 1

    Mixers
    Yamaha
    Allen and Heath

idk why you guys are so keen to victim blame and defend the harasser. she will consult an attorney and they will know better whether theres a case or not than any of us. i think its a clear case of harassment and since he is asking for money its extortion also. there is an implied threat and sure im not sure if thats enough to charge him in court the lawyer will decide that but if implied threats are not illegal then how do people like the mafia get charge when they ask for "protection money"

this article here mentions such a scenario. the person never explicitly says a threat but his language is clearly threatening
