No, no, no! Bad start already! You gotta make it sound like you know about the audio industry by using those words with confidence! Ya know, what the other audio guru's do for marketing purposes!

I mean, I guess you could also tell the truth... but that doesn't move units! The coffee is for closers only!

Crackhead1 reacted to Lavin in [Build Log] Phanteks Enthoo Primo: Ice Water
    Hello everyone!

I'm a huge fan of Linus and watch a lot of his videos. I wanted to post my recent build in here to showcase the new Phanteks Enthoo Primo. I've been looking for a case that suited my needs and while I thought the 900D was gorgeous, it was simply too large for my tastes. Given that, the Enthoo is slightly smaller, it has so many features that cater to water cooling enthusiasts and it shows. I absolutely love this case and I see myself using it exclusively for years to come.

I am also a custom sleever and I've been selling custom sleeve jobs on reddit. You can view my work here. Now that I've said this, I was not happy with the way the 24-pin turned out on this current build. I sleeved the stock cable and it was an absolute nightmare. I will most likely never sleeve another stock PSU. It's significantly faster for me to cut and crimp my own wires, than to de-pin a stock cable. I will do another 24-Pin custom cable on the next iteration of this build.

Crackhead1 reacted to TechFan@ic in AMD Preparing Tahiti XTL Revision of Radeon R9 280X Graphic Card For November Release
I'm going to go ahead & shoot this ridiculous article down, the Tahiti XTL chip is what's being used right now in the R9 280X, it's not a Tahiti XT2 (7970 Ghz) or a Tahiti XT (7970).
    It's clocked exactly between both.
    AMD_Radeon_Rx_200_Series#Radeon_R9_280
What AMD is actually preparing is a 7950 replacement.

Crackhead1 reacted in What is a "Vapor Chamber" cooler?
Vapor chamber where the heat contacts the liquid and the liquid vaporises. It goes into heat pipes where it condenses because its cooled down. Then its liquid again and the cycle continue.

Or it can be just a chamber without heatpipes, but the cooling is done by heat fins on top of chamber where the vapor condenses.

It is same as when you cook something. The water vaporises (at certain temp), when it tuches the lid that is lower temp, it condenses and fall down.

Also, if its higher pressure, the liquid needs higher temp to vaporise.
If its near vacuum, then it needs only room temperature to boil. Yep, water can boil at room temp.

I was going to mount two triples on the back panel of my FT03 using something like these:http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12506/ex-rad-208/XSPC_RSRX_120mm_Series_Radiator_Stand_-_Powder_Coated_Black.html

I think it'd be possible to fit a pump and res back there in between them, and it'd look BEAST.

Crackhead1 reacted to Scia in AMD Mantle vs NVidia G-SYNC
I honestly am more excited for Mantle.
I'm not planing on buying a 175$ update kit for g.synch, and at least from what Slick said on the WAN show, it's TN only [at least for now]. So, no care.

While Nvidia is screwing up one thing after another at the moment especially on Linux [which will soon be my main boot-to-OS] I won't buy Nvidia cards anyways.

And tbh, a full HW_access API, and the use of upto 8 cores, makes Mantle a big deal [yet ofc in theory as noone has seen what it actually does]. While g.synch seems to be the next "3D vision / 144hz monitor"... Using a 120hz benq xl2420t and I couldnt care less for it next to my pb278q ^^
