  1. I'll be honest with you, I dont know what any of them mean.

was moreso gonna be a hardware guide - what to buy, prices, where to buy and how to put together. no rocket science from me, as I'm no audiophile, learnt what I know from headfi.

    cheers for the input

so long as you don't use the following descriptors:

    1. musicality
    2. micro dynamics
    3. micro burst
    4. micro control
    5. micro anything
    6. ambiance
    7. coherence
    8. grain

And there are a lot more but you get the drift.

  2. considering doing a guide to cheap tripath amp and cheap bookshelf speakers setup.

sorta give ppl on a budget a better option than overpriced "pc speakers" that dont sound the best.

did a search on it through both google and the site but didnt spot anything. any of the forum monsters remember it being done (if so, should be sticky imo) or is it a green light?

    cheers for ur time.

  3. I'm happy to see the end of unboxing for everyday stuff like gpu's and such. But be disappointed to see the end of unboxing the random stuff u get, like the banggood vid. No shortage of places to see gpu unboxing, whereas the quadcopter was real helpful, as there was nothing worthwhile watching bout it cept ur vid.

So i guess my view is, dont stop unboxings all together, but stop doin stuff that can be found elsewhere in many places/the same as its previous iteration.

  4. i dont like the shape of the 2014 as much as the 2012

I tried the g600 today and yeah those curved buttons put me off as well, im gonna go for the naga 2012 provided i can hunt one down :) dont like the shape of the 2014 near as much

    awesome dude.

let us know how it turns out when u find one.

  5. ive had both the g600 and the naga (on my 2nd one)

if u can try both before u buy id strongly recommend it, they have a very different feel to eachother.

best to try and see which suits u best. i got nothing against the g600, just didnt suit my grip ( mainly the agled buttons on the side )

u wont regret getting these mice, having those buttons so easily accesible is gold.

  6. I dont see myself getting money for those anytime soon. And as for the bezel size what about de-bezeling? I plan on having them in portrait anyway. The number one reason i would think of buying these benq monitors is the price point. $99 each means i can cover the cost of 2.5 of them with just the money i made from this asus one. I can see switching to higher end displays later but seeing as nobody has made any  huge objections to these ones apart from the bezel size, could debezeling help?

So im currently sitting on an asus 27' 1080p monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236295 and ive been looking to try out eyefinity for awhile. Newegg has a benq 21.5 inch display for 99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014343 and ive just received an offer of $260 for my asus monitor. Any thoughts? good monitor? good idea? quick replies would be great

for eyefinity i reckon its better not to cut corners. keep ur 27 till u can afford better monitors. eyefinity tech isnt going anywhere.

cant beat a good set of ips panels for eyefinity, not worth buying cheap inferior stuff to just replace again down the line.

u asked for thoughts, this is my thoughts. heres a site for great for reference on multi monitor gaming:

  7. the ZT and ZX lines are awesome little units :) They get alot of hate but I've never had a failure with any of their gear

    love their ram and psu's

but had 4 dead vertex 2's thus far lol

also, i had a ssd knocked back by pccasegear for warranty and OCZ taiwan honored it and sent me a replacement. big ups to them for that ,+1 ocz for that one

  8. eyefinity is awesome. if u can deal with poor support from some developers and a bit of headaches in general, nothing comes close to it for an off the hook immersive gaming experience.

i have changed to 1440p to avoid these annoying bits and pieces, not a day goes by that i dont miss it tho.

    past configs ->1050 22inch single - 1080p single 24inch - 1080p 40inch tv - 1080p single 27 inch - 3xu2312hm eyefinity - 27 inch 1440p

totally imo btw. others may feel differently.

also aim for matte bezels on whatever monitor u pick, glossy makes it more noticable in eyefinity imo. hope this helped some

edit: if ur gonna do it, do it proper. get some ips monitors with good eyefinity rep (cough u2312hm).

  9. gigabyte cards are usually cheap. windforce coolers are decent, had 3 cards with them and no complaints.

also im pretty sure they still use refence pcb (mine does) if u decide to watercool down the track.
