60FPS -> 16,6ms
120FPS -> 8,3ms
240FPS -> 4,15ms
480FPS -> 2,075ms
960FPS -> 1,0375ms
youre already getting into the diminishsing returns above 240FPS which is easily achievable with both Intel and Ryzen CPUs in CS:GO.

Jesmo got a reaction from WereCat in OBS video on Second GPU?
Could I maybe get you to test something for me? Can you set OBS to be run on your second GPU and see if that unloads the main GPU and maybe even see, if the playback is smooth)? If that is the cause, you too, would get more FPS in games
You can do so in the Nvidia control panel. I have attached a pic of the menu and setting (sorry, it's in danish)

Jesmo got a reaction from IKnight in Manually unlock a processor?
You can unlock and overclock your cpu to 64 ghz if you join my church of OC (a break out religion of the PC Masterrace), we praise high voltage, faster ram speeds and good quality vrms.

If you're also rendering, then I would recommend Ryzen (1600 or 1700).
I have the 7700k on a z270 motherboard and let me tell you; You will need to run that aio cooler at 100 % to keep the 7700k at 80 C.

Jesmo got a reaction from FusionDeck in Will a 1080 Ti, 7700k and two 3.5" HDD's require a PSU upgrade?
Linus didn't get close to 600, so I would say you're safe:

The G4560 is indeed a Kaby Lake CPU, but I don't see support for it or any other Kaby Lake chips on the list. Kaby Lake processors generally require a BIOS update, so boards that didn't get such an update may never support Kaby Lake.

The Phanteks Eclipse P400 and P400S are fantastic value, I really enjoyed working in mine, there's even a version with a Tempered Glass Side Panel now that does not cost much more

Jesmo got a reaction from MikeBoy in My PC slowed down. ( like really really much)
Yeah, always try a reboot... otherwies, the temps on your cpu and gpu doesn't tell the whole story... I too had the same problem some time ago, where my fps in csgo would go from 250 to 30 fps for a couple of seconds and then back ug again. I checked my temps and specs with hardware monitor (a downloadable program I had running on a second monitor) and could see, that my cpu was throtling a lot (from 4500 mhz to 1400...). I could also see that it happened everytime the temps on the motherboard hit 100C. So I installed another fan pointing towards the VRM on the motherboard (it's the small headsinks on the motherboard) and my temps went down by 30C and my cpu never throtled...
Try runing hardware monitor to see if everything is, at it should be.

Jesmo got a reaction from Zangashtu in CPU Throttling like a mad man!
Thanks for all the replies! I seem to have found a solution: It was the VRM that was overheating. I'm on a budget when it comes to gaming (still a student) so I don't have the option to buy a new MB. However; a simple deskfan pointing towards the MB have saved my day... Instead of the VRM running at 100C+ i'm now at a more reasonable 69C when stress-testing the cpu. I think I will go like this for some time (a year left of school) and then get me a new MB and CPU (maybe zen??) and a proper case with fanzy fans and stuff...
Again, thx for the help guys! This forum is awesome!
