  3. well, i tried to create a new virtual network adapter, and the server crushed again.....
  4. well, because i want to see if there is another method to do this other then another VM. well, i recorded the VNC screen in slow motion and saw that the bsod was:
  5. yes i did. yes, when i reconnected, it showed me the windows shutdown event tracker
  6. well, i am connected using RDP so i didn't see the actual bsod screen
  7. i selected external network, i clicked apply, and the server crushed......
  8. here is the screen shot from my hyper v host (its the virtual network that is connected to my windows 7 test vm
  9. the hyper v server has 2 network adapters: NIC 1 with an ip of 192.168.1.1 NIC 2 (hyper v internal network) with an ip of 192.168.15.1
  10. The 2 servers can talk to each other, but the windows 7 test vm cant talk to server 1
  11. well, that is an option. here is the network configuration server 1: nic1 = 192.168.1.2 server 2: nic1 = 192.168.1.1 server 2: internal hyper v network card = 192.168.15.1 windows 7 test vm: hyper v network card = 192.168.15.2 now i want to give server 1 an ip address on 192.168.15.X
  12. hi, i have 2 windows server 2016 servers connected together with a LAN network: server 1 = DC server + DNS server server 2 = hyper v host + DHCP and DNS server now i got DHCP to work with hyper v to give my test windows 7 VM an IP address, and i can get the dns records on my windows 7 test vm from server 1 now my question is, can i share the internal network card from server 2 to server 1? thank you for answering!
  13. after i enabled both incomming and outgoing ICMP on the firewall just for the VPC the pings started to work! thank you!

  17. hi, i have 2 windows server 2016 servers both have a static ips server 1 - 192.168.1.2 server 2 - 192.168.1.3 i can't ping from one server to an other if i try to ping from server 1 i get this: C:\Users\Administrator>ping 192.168.1.3 Pinging 192.168.1.3 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for 192.168.1.3: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss), and this is from server 2: (its the same, just with a different IP) C:\Users\Administrator>ping 192.168.1.2 Pinging 192.168.1.2 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for 192.168.1.2: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss), i have iis running on server 2 and i can access it from server 1 any suggestions on how i can fix this? thank you!
