  1. Oops, thought I posted it in hobby electronics. Can I, or you, move it over?
  2. I am trying to replicate what is logged in this blog, replacing the switch on the lower assembled part of the vacuum. The switch connects on both ends to a 22awg,105Celsisus,600v, red wire. I'm concerned with possible issues that may arise from theses wires, such as overheating, shorting, or causing an electrical fire. The broken switch had both ends heat shrink tubed, but could I wrap electrical tape around both ends instead? Or just go ahead and shrink tube wrap them?
  3. There is a portion of the USB cord that was chewed by my cat. I stripped the rubber and managed to fix the problem, being the white cord was pinched severely. I currently have it wrapped with electrical tape, but I'm concerned with the hazard it may pose. Could I replace the cord, or is the tape enough?
  4. Nothing is working, it seems the only software that is able to change rpms , oc ,etc... is the MSI gaming app.
  5. Tried that, with both the stable AMD drivers and afterburner, and the beta drivers and afterburner. No change occurs.
  6. Just purchased an MSI 4gb RX 470. When messing around with Afterburner and Radeon Settings it seems that none of the settings I change, fan curves, rpm, power limit,etc... actually are applied. And on top of that, Afterburner is now completely blank and seems to not be recognizing the card's settings. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
  7. My new PC I built two weeks ago: **CPU** | AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor **CPU Cooler** | Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO **Motherboard** | Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard **Memory** | Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 **Storage** | Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive **Video Card** |Asus Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card **Case** | Enermax OSTROG ATX Mid Tower Case **Power Supply** | Thermaltake TR2 600W ATX Power Supply I have only noticed the smell twice, once while I was doing some cable management with overwatch running. The second time I smelt was when I was playing GTA for a couple of hours. List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem. To be honest I'm not sure if it really is something burning. Could it be just hot air? I've made sure that no wires are touching any of the heatsinks. Any help is appreciated.
  8. I've heard a lot of conflicting information from this forum, tomshardware, reddit, etc.. I'll try this weekend a new cpu and motherboard.
  9. Added a stick of 2gb to the eight, seems like there might be a slight improvement.
  10. I have the 760GMA, not sure what the difference is.
  11. Edited the picture a little so it was easier to see.
  12. This information has just recently come to light by a friend of mine who pointed it out. Which is why I'm pondering to buy a new mobo.
  13. Mobo:MSi 760GMA P34 (95W) CPU:FX 4350(125W) GPU:ASUS Strix R9 380 4gb Crimson 16.7.3 RAM:1 stick of 8gb Corsair PSU:ThermalTake 600W
  14. Just bought a new ASUS Strix r9 380 4gb. The dude at the store said that the 4350(clocked at 4.2) would not bottleneck the 380, however, from what I can see It most definitely is. 45 frames at low on gtaV, barely reaching 70 at low on Overwatch,etc... The fix would be to buy a new CPU(8350) but that would also require me to buy a new mobo as the one I currently own(760gma p34) is known to have issues supporting the 8350. Any help is appreciated.
