  1. Yeah i also had the same thinking... We are talking about like 30ish bucks cpu's i mean in sec hand they are cost around that... And actually i'm sure that a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 or a AMD Phenom II X6 1035T would do just fine...Becouse theres plenty of vid in Yt that peeps running the newest games easily on these. But idk. I think these will be useless or somewhat close after like 2year from now. Rly dunno thoe.
  2. Not sure. Atm i have a AMD Athlon II x2 250 oc'd at 3.7Ghz. And i also have a Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 .Non oc'd. Both really old cpu's. Both can run everything for Minecraft. As far as i tried... I wouldnt say that i can record it thoe. Not sure. Not rly ideal to record games at these low spec pc's anyway... Dunno about Arma 3 didnt tried it that much just played some of the Campaign and that was it. But both were able to run it. I guess it would show its fangs on the cpu demand more in Multiplayer.
  3. Ohh yeah. Right. But i was talking about performance in games. Is there any cpu demanding game that requires a 4790? Most of the games as far as i seen can run easily with like a fx 6300 or a i3 3220 or even older cpu's are can run the newest games just fine. Most likely the GPU is the bottleneck. I was thinking on the new AMD cpu's also the fx-9xxx series. But then i realized i dont need that much power... I even think that the i5 4460 and the fx 8320 are above what games rly demand... Dunno tho i'm not an expert
  4. Theres not that much of the diff in performance actually between that Amd and that i5... Also not much between the r9 380 and the 960. But then again i have to use fraps or other programs to record that could in fact frame drop me. Big dilemma
  5. Thanks for your advice. Well i dont care about upgradability. And well. my budget wont rly change becouse i just simply dont want to pay out more then $4-500. And from that i would like to use that pc for like atleast 1year without upgrade etc... And yes i think the ram part is fixed now i found the cheapest that i can get.
  6. I dont really have long term plans... Not sure which one would be better for gaming. But from what i see atleast 4core is great to have. What really matter is the performance/price . If the Intel processor performs better then that AMD FX-8320 and around the same price I'm down with it. I also just saw the vid where Linus gets a cheap server mobo and two cheap server processors. I1m thinking on that too or something similar. The video. My case have plenty of space etc and i'm sure of it that i could put a server mobo in it easily.
  7. Yeah thats why am i not sure about Ati... Well around 400bucks. I can go upto $500 if its reaally that much of a price/performance difference.
  8. So i'm on a tight budget. But still i want to upgrade from what i have... I only need motherboard, ram, processor, videocard. Nothing else. This is what i was thinking about: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PPdBNG Also i'm not facing away from buying parts used. So i looked up for used stuff (I'm from Hungary) I can get a AMD FX-8320 and a GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 for as cheap as $150 I can get 1600mhz ram 8gb for $24. And yet i didnt found any used gtx 960 4gb version. As far as i did my research this build should run today games such as R6S etc at max settings or close to. Even in 4k at like avarage ~30fps(Ofc not maxed out settings but like a medium). Also i would like to hear some Intel builds for around the same budget . Plus i'm not sure about ATI just becouse the Nvidia recording software. I dont want fps drops using Fraps or any other recording software or whatnot...
