I've been running into my bandwidth cap within a week of the 1st of the month since going remote. The upload is killing me.  I'd much rather have slower speed and not have to worry about getting billed an extra few hundred dollars a month for internet.

1TB of data goes quick when you're uploading files for work, last month I transferred 15.6 TB, the month before that was 12.  At $10 per 10GB over TB, that adds up FAST.  Also, Comcast will not offer me the "unlimited" $50 dollars cap thing.

If Asus is on the ball, the drivers are the same thing, just repackaged with an ASUS logo.  Just install the current ones from AMD for operating system.

In the future, AMD drivers will be faster to get through AMD directly.  The only thing you really need the manufactures drivers for are specific things to your Motherboard, such as ASUS Aura drivers or some random Wifi/NIC that you can't find a manufacture site for.

Having worked there for a few years a decade ago, I can say without a doubt it was their business practices and stocking nothing but garbage quality, high GP merchandise that killed them.

People didn't trust their sales guys because they chased quotas and commission rather than what the customer really needed.

I'm personally happy they closed. While it does strike a blow at consumers able to shop locally and see products, most of their merchandise was overpriced garbage. Being part of the hiring process for 3 departments, It was the goal of management to hire salesman with no knowledge and "train" later (aka never) on products.  The difference between a SATA drive and an IDE drive, between DDR2 and 3 and whatever speed it needed to be was never about what was compatible or useful, but about how much commission was on each sale.

Good riddance to a horrible business model.

This is hardly limited to PC sales.  I have overheard several friends and friends of friends who've talked about doing similar crap with all kinds of products.  Walmart, Amazon, etc.  Society has no morals.  "It's a big company, they don't need the money anyway."

Looks like a fuser or drum issue. On a color printer you could tell by printing a CYMK test page and see if it's a drum or fuser, black and white you can't  Your model doesn't have a bias transfer adjustment or a few other things you could do for a more professional printer.

Usually this thing can happen when you get a paper jam and fail to clear it or you ended up having toner on the imaging drum.

If you know how these things work, you can visually espect the drum and fuser and you'll see exactly which item has the imprint on it. You can fix it but you could see which to replace.

So here's your options. Change the toner cartridge, as it has the imaging drum built in.  If you have a spare lying around, this is a good option. If you don't, move on to the next bit.

Just FYI, the fuser costs more than the printer is worth, and more than a replacement black and white printer all together.  So you're ready stuck with just replacing the printer.  It's not worth investing in a new fuser UNLESS you have spare toners lying around, as you'll just have to throw them away.

We can agree that a single setup isn't a bad thing for the speaker, but that's not Sonos brand nor selling points according to their marketing. They offer a ecosystem as the branding with speakers to support it, not necessarily a speaker to support their ecosystem.

It's very similar to how Apple defends their Apple ecosystem as making repairs to their systems turn the systems into PCs and ruin the Apple Ecosystem. It's not about the hardware so much as the software and IP within the platforms.

If Google and Amazon had marketed their speakers as such, Sonos would have a good case that they were copying their IP, but they are talking about one off speakers, which isn't Sonos niche USP. This is where Sonos will have to make it's case.

Someone needs to take Sonos down a few pegs, they are way too expensive, I would go for them, except for the fact that a Sonos Port is $450 (and I would need AT LEAST 3) and a speaker is $179, Basically, I am getting 50% LESS for more than 50% MORE. Ludicrous company pricing and shitty company ways with the speaker bricking and now this? Sit the hell down Sonos and shut up.

There are many of us who purchased Ryzen 1st Gen and are looking at the newest chips with hopes to purchase. Problem is, can we trust AMDs am4 promise that this new chips (with bios updates) will work well?

We have the x370, x470 and x570 now, as well as a slue of boards in-between.

Honestly, before the launch and release it would be nice to get some testing on older boards to see if the new processors work.

How does a 3950x work on a top end board from the day Ryzen launched?

How about a b450 board? If not the 3950, could someone drop a new processor onto it at all and it work?

I know the charts and power figures say some boards won't and some will, but I really and hesitant about dropping 750 bucks just to have to replace my motherboard as well, and frankly, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see AMDs promises tested before purchasing.

Do you use Windows? How about an Android phone? Or an iPhone? Or own a smart TV? How about any games or software?

All of these are leases. Every single one.

Want to write something bad about Microsoft? Well, under the EULA in word (not sure if it's still there, it was years ago) you cannot talk bad about them using their software or you violate their license and cannot use their software.

Do you own a Tesla? You might think you do, but you don't. You own the body, but the tech and the software on it are leases.  Modify your car at all, services shut down and you can no longer do anything with it but drive it and basic charge it.

It's not a stretch to see how paying for extra services is the future. Micro transactions for features, with monthly upkeep. Tesla could easily do this with their car, for GPS radio, etc.

Continued Licenses are the way of the future because companies can milk as much money from you, collect information from you, and cut you off it they don't like what you're doing, saying or anything for that matter.

The day you can convince corporations to give away money for free is the day this changes.

Because every tom dick and Harry can edit video these days, video editors get paid min wage where I live. So do most creative jobs that people feel they can do on their cell phones.

Unless you're able to be good on camera, win and audience and make your own channel, you really won't get a job making more than 10-15 an hour, depending on where you live and the min wage laws. Or you'll be 1099 employee earning even less than that because you won't be doing billable hours and usually do it for a few bucks per project that takes you hours and hours.

In order to get work you need a polished, developed, and well rounded portfolio that shows why you should be hired over everyone else.  And by this, I'm not meaning LTT quality videos, they are actually garbage in terms of quality people want for an edit. Think Ford or Budweiser commercials... During the Superbowl. That's what companies want to hire.
