  1. After the driver installs the first time, that's it. It just stops outputting video, if it isn't horribly and unusably artefacted
  2. I just got my buddy's old rig, and every time I install the drivers for the Sapphire Radeon HD 6850, windows 10 shuts down, bootloops, and then I have to reinstall windows. I've done this three times now, and all three times, I've tried two different kits of RAM, putting the GPU in the other PCIE x16 slot, clearing CMOS, and even replacing the CMOS battery. I'm desperate and out of ideas. Any correspondence NOT telling me to get a new GPU would be greatly appreciated
  3. HP Pavilion G7 Processor: AMD A4-3300M GPU: RADEON HD 6480G 512MB VRAM SYSTEM MEMORY: 2GB DDR3L STORAGE: 500GB HDD I've replaced the screen 3 times, the keyboard twice, and until the Creator's update, it worked alright, but now it doesn't acknowledge my keypresses half the time, and when it does, it's CAPS locked or randomly shifted. Hooked into a 720p 30hz $40 TV for second screen function. Everything but my actual computer is fine, but the computer itself is a rotten potato. It can run minecraft with 2 chunk render distance at 20fps, 31 on Factorio, but I kill it in Solitaire and Mahjongg #ROGRigReboot
  4. UPDATE: Changed it around to an FX4300 and RX470 Combo deal, 8GB ddr3, and an ASRock N68C-GS4 mobo
  5. Well I actually have a PC my uncle uses, and it's on the LGA 1151 platform, so I could upgrade him to the 3930 because his is even more useless than that. Alternatively, could I build this system cheaper/better if I go AMD?
  6. Where can I find one? Amazon has it for prime only, Newegg is out of stock, and I live about 3 hours from the nearest componentry store. Would the G3930 be able to hang long enough for me to wait to get it?
  7. I can probably knock something down to Super EggSaver. Is that still LGA1151?
  8. I'm not too worried about being able to do much. I don't play many "modern" games. The newest game I touch is ARK, and I usually play that on my PS4
  9. By the way, I know I have a previous post about a new rig, but those hopes were visciously taken from me
  10. Hello all!! My gaming rig is in the planning stages. I have a 400 dollar budget, and I can go 5 USD over it (lol) I have an Apevia X-QPACK3-WHT MATX case, an Asus H110M-E/M.2 mobo, an Intel Celeron G3930 CPU (stock cooler because I'm cutting corners,) 8GB of Crucial DDR4 at 2133 mhz, an EVGA 1050 TI GAMING, and, here's the kicker, a SeaSonic 300W PSU. I have two 2.5 inch HDDs from previous laptops, and three 3.5 inch HDDs from salvage desktops. I will be able to use both 2.5 inch HDDs and 2 3.5 inch HDDs in the case listed above. This all totals to $0.87 cents over budget (proud of myself here) with 3 day shipping on everything from Newegg. It'll mainly be for 720p to 1080p gaming, occasional YouTube video creation, and webbing as normal. My main questions are the following: Is the PSU going to be capable of running the listed hardware? I can go without the 3.5 inch HDDs if not, they are actually lower capacity than the 2.5 inch ones. Is anyone aware of a 4-pin molex to 12V DC male adapter? I want to install some RGB leds I got as a gift, but they run off wall power with a 12V DC connector. If such an adapter exists, would I be able to install it without using too much power.
  11. I need a good recommendation for a microphone for gamestreaming and high voice quality for Skype collaborations and calls. I have an ASUS STX II sound card, so I'd like to use the 1/4" input that it has. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Maximum price is 250 USD
  12. So nvm to the VM machine. Any strong recommendations that will be able to run 3 4ks when I can get my hands on them?
  13. The only problem with that is that the PC will also be my personal rig, and I would really rather not take out GPU's every other weekend. Total first-world problem, but meh
