  1. oh, and I turned off HDR while watching the data hoarder video to write this post, and Jake looks like he has a massive sunburn when HDR is off. Looks totally normal with HDR on.
  2. I have three monitors, one of which is HDR. I have had all three together for two years and they worked fine until a couple weeks ago. All the sudden when I have HDR enabled the contrast/brightness on my two non-HDR monitors is set to the max and I cannot read most text on websites or documents unless it is a darkmode app with dark backing and light text. I used to have this used when taking screenshots but it wasn't a big deal because I rarely used the snipping tool, but now it is a persistent issue as long as HDR mode is on. I have tried to search for answers and that led me to realize it is only happening when HDR mode is enabled but the only help I got was turning HDR mode off. I would like to be able to use HDR for the one monitor that has it as a possibility. Is it possible to either turn HDR on only for specific monitors or is there some other fix I can do to work around this? As I mentioned previously it worked fine until a couple weeks ago. The system is Windows 10 and my monitors are ASUS TUF Gaming VG27W, an Acer 1080p 60 hz monitor I cant find the model of and a pretty old Gateway 1050p monitor I have been using for almost 10 years.
  3. Hmm, ok. I havent done any benchmarking before but I just ran CrystalDisk and got this result. Good or bad? i have no idea what i am looking at.
  4. Thanks for replying! Would anything I have be reusable or is everything just too outdated?
  5. Hey There! I have been on the same rig for about 5 years and I am ready to upgrade. Or start from scratch and get a whole new system. I will go ahead and list what my current rig has (I was new please dont judge;) and what i am hoping to get out of my system. Looking for a recommendation of upgrading or starting over and what parts you would suggest for both. First, the 5 bullets. 1. Budget & Location ~$1000 US. There is a little bit of leeway over and under for performance but that is about where my budget currently is. 2. Aim This is going to be a daily driver. I recently started work from home due to, well, you know and that also means i am gaming more. My current system just inst performing as well on newer titles and i would like to do some VR eventually so a system that can at least be future proof for VR gaming would be ideal. 3. Monitors I have 2, 22" monitors. I plan on using those for now but eventually upgrading to an ultrawide. 4. Peripherals I have a mouse and Keyboard already, The current system has Windows 10 but I lost the product key so If i need a new hard drive or if it no longer recognizes this as the same ps then I will need a new license. 5. Why are you upgrading? My current system just isnt up to snuff anymore (and its a heater. Literally, In the winter I do not need to run the heat, I just play video games and the house heats right up.) My current Rig: (Why are product names so freakin long?!) (My actual Hard Drive): Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive SSD: It was a gift from my parents so i dont have any model info but I have a 250 gb samsung SSD Case: Rosewill Galaxy-02-A - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case This system has served me well over the past 5 years as my gaming side has gone up and down but its time to put her to rest and upgrade to something better.
