  1. Intel announced new NUCs, which on the outside they looked as the same as the other mainstream NUCs, but these NUCs are interesting becoz they are bundled with AMD's RX540X 2GB. These NUCs are bundling Whiskey Lake-U quad-core processor, i7-8565U/i5-8265U, with AMD RX540X. Other features include HDMI 2.1, mini Display Port 1.2 outputs, three USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, Gigabit Ethernet, an SDXC card reader, and Intel Wireless-AC 9560 (Bluetooth 5+802.11ac), but no Thunderbolt 3 ports. But there is one weird point about these new NUCs. These NUCs will come with 8GB 8GB LPDDR3 dual-channel memory, which are soldered down onto the motherboard. It is still unclear if there will be any memory slots on these NUCs. Pricing and release date is still TBA for these NUCs. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-s-NUC-8-Mainstream-G-mini-PCs-announced-with-Radeon-GPUs-and-Whiskey-Lake-CPUs.421468.0.html https://liliputing.com/2019/05/intel-launches-islay-canyon-nuc-with-radeon-graphics-whiskey-lake-cpu.html http://linuxiumcomau.blogspot.com/2019/05/intels-islay-canyon-nucs.html https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/nuc8-mainstream-g-mini-pcs-kits-brief.pdf
  2. Ducky revealed a new keyboard on their Facebook page, they called it "Ducky Freedom". As the name implied, you can moved around freely with this keyboard as it is a wireless mechanical keyboard. But what's interesting is that besides bluebooth and USB (USB-C), it supports 2.4GHz wireless as well. Besides, it has a new exterior design, with durable seamless PBT double shot keycaps, 3-stages keyboard stand, and Cherry MX switches. Of course, RGB is available on this keyboard. But it was only available when it was plugged in via usb, RGB backlit won't be available when the keyboard was connected wirelessly. No words on pricing, config and release date of this keyboard, but it will be shown on Computex 2019, as it was stated on the facebook post.
  3. A mobile phone store in Hong Kong was able to get a functioning Pixel 3 XL ahead of its announcement. Tech media in Hong Kong like Eprice.HK, RingHK.com, and Unwire.HK was able to get a hold of the phone for a while, and published their unboxing articles. (Photo Credit: RingHK.com) The spec of the phone is close to the rumors. Here is the spec summarized from those unboxing articles: -s845 processor, 4GB ram,128GB storage -color: "Just Black" (Photo Credit: RingHK.com) -main camera is a 12MP, F1.8 camera, no dual lens (or more), 8MP front camera (dual lens?) (Photo credit: Unwire.HK) -6.3" 2960x1440 OLED screen (not yet confirm if it is AMOLED or P-OLED) -no headphone jack, speakers integrated with earphones and speakerphones -USB-C ver. of Pixel Buds, USB-C to headphone jack dongle, OTG dongle, and a 9V/2A charger was found in the box (Photo credit: RingHK.com) -Android 9.0 Pie , with Active Edge (squeeze the edge) (Photo credit: RingHK.com and ePrice.HK) -Single Sim, with a fingerprint sensor at the back, and support wireless charging (Photo credit: Unwire.HK) It is still unknown if this Pixel 3 XL is an engineering sample, or it is a retail product. In some article it was mentioned that this phone is now selling for over HKD$15000. This should be the speculative price/resale price, rather than the retail price, as there is only one phone at this moment. You can find camera samples, benchmark scores, and more in these articles. ePrice.com.hk's article (in Chinese): https://www.eprice.com.hk/mobile/talk/4541/211574/1/ Unwire.hk's articles (in Chinese) https://unwire.hk/2018/10/05/google-pixel-xl-3-price-15880/mobile-phone/ https://unwire.hk/2018/10/05/google-pixel-3-xl-detail-review/review-2/ Ringhk's articles (in Chinese) http://www.ringhk.com/news/水機報價-貴過-iphone-xs-max-google-pixel-xl-3-天價偷跑到港 http://www.ringhk.com/catallst_prod/index/act/news2/cid/1/iid/17572/lng/1 9to5Google's article about this leaked device in Hong Kong https://9to5google.com/2018/10/05/pixel-3-xl-retail-box-leaked/ *update on 07102018: Engadget also posted their hands-on article and video of this leaked device in Hong Kong... https://www.engadget.com/2018/10/06/google-pixel-3-xl-hong-kong-leak-hands-on-video/

  8. According to spec, Dell's fitst HDR monitor, UP2718Q, has a brightness around 400 cd/m² (typical) and 1,000 cd/m² (peak)....
  9. Yesterday (6th July 2017) Acer Japan announced a new 43" 4K monitor in Japan, under the ET430K series, model name "ET430Kwmiiqppx" Earlier this year Acer launched a 4K 43" monitor name "ET430K", with the model name "ET430Kwmiippx". The new monitor is pretty much the same as the old one, so they both have an IPS panel with 5ms response time, HDMI 2.0 ports, a mini Displayport, a Displayport, and others. But as the title suggested, the new monitor "ET430Kwmiiqppx" is HDR ready ("Acer HDR Ready", supports HDR10), according to Acer. Pls feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this monitor currently is the largest HDR-ready 4K monitor. This monitor will run 4K @60Hz, but there are no mentions of supporting G-Sync or FreeSync on the product page, thus I guess this monitor didn't support either G-Sync or FreeSync. The monitor will be available in Japan on 21st July for ¥75,384 (~$665), according to Amazon Japan, and currently no words on pricing and availability outside Japan. http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1069106.html (in Japanese) Press statement from Acer Japan https://www.acer.com/ac/ja/JP/press/2017/276955 (in Japanese) Product Page https://www.acer.com/ac/ja/JP/content/model/UM.ME0SJ.002 (in Japanese) https://www.amazon.co.jp/ディスプレイ-ET430Kwmiiqppx-43インチ-HDMI2-0x2・DP・MiniDP-Ready対応/dp/B073P7NVL2 (in Japanese)

  12. QNAP has been making AMD-based NAS for yrs. In Computex 2017, they updated their AMD-based NAS with Ryzen CPU. The NAS is called "TS-1277", under the TS-XX77 series. From the photos it seems to have the same chassis as QNAP's TVS-1282/TVS-1282T NAS, but in a champagne gold color, which is the usual color of QNAP's AMD-based NAS. This NAS has three different models with different Ryzen CPUs, which are Ryzen 7 1700 (8 Core/16 thread), Ryzen 5 1600(6 Core/12 thread), and Ryzen 5 1400(4 Core/8 thread), with supports up to 64GB of ram. Besides the CPU differences, TS-1277's spec is very similar to that of TVS-1282/TVS-1282T, just without the Thunderbolt 3 ports. Pricing and availability is still unknown at this moment, and it is still unknown if there will be any other models under this TS-XX77 series. http://www.tweaktown.com/news/57770/amd-ryzen-powered-qnap-nas-spotted-computex/index.html
