  1. This PC is (mainly) white themed. It'll be used for gaming and probably some heavier stuff in the future. I won't overclock TOO much but it'd be great to be able to fit a better CPU cooler inside. Budget is $2000 PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BgxxhM Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BgxxhM/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($348.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($24.29 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($150.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($64.49 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($85.49 @ OutletPC) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.66 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB AMP! 2. Pretty good. Dunno much about XFX PSUs but I heard they're quality PSUs. Just bump up the i7-6700 to an i7-6700k to make use of the overclocking abilities of the motherboard
  3. Woop, woop. New profile picture.

  4. pretty good, but if possible get a better psu. it should be fine for JUST minecraft, but better safe than sorry
  5. A. Got a PCPartPicker link? It'll make everything easier B. Purposes? Could help work out the parts. (EDIT: nvm didn't read) C: -Don't go for 3000 Mhz with RAM if you're gaming (I assume). Waste of money. Same for the CPU - get an i5 instead. -For the HDD, get a Caviar Blue instead unless you are going to store important files on the WD Black -KILL THE PSU! KILL IT WITH FIRE AND BURN IT TO ASHES! Get an EVGA unit or a Seasonic unit, unless the PC is intended to break -This is a personal preference, but I'd go with the ASUS Matrix edition of the 980 ti or whatever it was called
  6. Eh. Here's mine anyways. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DbDQjX Still need to add OS and make space in the budget for it You could probably get by by removing the SSD but that'll take a hit in loading times
  7. That one blew what I had planned out of the water
  8. oh, ok, that makes more sense brb i'll try and make one
  9. oh shoot, two monitors too? for $950 I don't think you'll fare well for graphic design and video editing
  10. Revisiting this: For the correct answer, why'd they pick a non K cpu and an overclockable motherboard? Makes no sense
  11. oh, also, I think the pentium would bottleneck the 980 ti, so you might have to get a new cpu
  12. video ram is for textures. 2gb vs 1gb wouldn't hurt much, both aren't superb anyways. potatoe is right, just get a better cpu
  13. Get a windows PC. If you really want Mac that bad, do a dual boot setup with OS X. Linux would be nice too!
  14. IT WILL DESTROY WORLDS!!! DON'T LET IT NEAR US, IT'S TOO OP!!!11!11!!
  15. $2k screams an i7 and a gtx 980ti, even with a monitor and keyboard

  17. I doubt it'd be bottlenecked. The switch to the i5 does seem appealing though. I'll see what I can do with it
  18. FORGOT TO MENTION: Budget is $1500 Can I have help on shaving off some money on this build? The only thing I won't change is the case. 19. Bad for finances, good for bang for buck and everything else (I guess?)
  20. but isn't his cpu not able to overclock?
  21. Heh. Similar to my old plan. Heck, the case, mobo, cpu, gpu, cpu cooler, and hdd are the same, and the RAM is the same amount as mine would have and the PSU was a EVGA 650W P2 instaed
  22. go for a GTX 750ti. $100, will serve you well. GT cards aren't really meant for gaming.
  23. Get a 550W PSU, and if you are planning to upgrade 650W Also the GTX 980 has bad price for performance. Consider switching to an AMD card or taking the $200 leap to the GTX 980 Ti. Heck, waiting for pascal could be good too.
