Industry Affiliates are representatives of companies within the computer industry. Their posting privileges are the same as standard members, and while they are able (and encouraged) to interact with the LinusTechTips.com community outside of talking about their products or services, they should always keep in mind the way their behavior reflects on their company. Industry Affiliates are required to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner to all moderators, administrators, general members, and other Industry Affiliates. To ensure that LinusTechTips.com can maintain fair treatment of all Industry affiliates, we have created these guidelines:
 
All Industry Affiliates (employees of tech companies) must identify themselves if they intend to promote their company, products, or services in any way. Industry Affiliates may truthfully answer questions about their own products and may assist members with technical and warranty support for their products in almost any context. It is still acceptable even in situations where the original post is not about the Industry Affiliate's product as long as it doesn't derail the thread. Industry Affiliates may not recommend their own products to a user who is not already specifically asking about them. When that happens, the Industry Affiliate may clarify the features and value of his or her products, as well as help the Original Poster to understand the similar products that are also available within their product stack. This should not be interpreted as an opportunity to "upsell" and only educational information with a basis in fact will be acceptable. No snake oil marketing strategies will be tolerated from Industry Affiliates. We take reports from members about "marketing BS / manipulation" very seriously. Industry Affiliates' member profiles and signatures must adhere to our standard guidelines, but may also contain one link to their official company support website Industry Affiliates are encouraged to engage naturally with the community rather than taking a strictly "business-like" approach to their interactions. It's worth considering that by being a helpful part of the community, you will build trust with our members, moderators, and administrators, which will lend credibility to you as an individual and to your company. D indicates Desktop whilst S normally means server. So i have no idea what DS means. Thats a bit of a red flag but could be yet another tweak to the naming scheme.
 
104 should be in order: The revision, the chiplet count, and the core count. According to that this is a revision 1, 0 chiplet, 4 core processor.
 
This is either a fake, a new naming scheme, (which suggests it's probably not a normal 3000 processor), or a non-Ryzen Processor. Athlon makes the most obvious sense TBH. Whilst i kinda expected those to be a chiplet design too, they might be going with a monolithic for that. Though why they'd be sending out ES now on that i'm not sure... And why would you test that on a flagship X570 board, at least in this fashion, (obviously you want to check basic compatibility i should think).

I got it from my local micro center for $25 refurbed. For $5 more I could get a significantly better one. Yeah, I'll do that. Thanks for the feedback.

Who are these people lmao? Literally everyone I know uses the headphone jack to watch youtube or listen to music on their phone. Wireless headphones are more expensive and another thing that you have to charge, which can be a pain if you only use audio infrequently. As for the lightning headphones, you might as well use the stupid dongle lol.

You should definitely reallocate more money to your monitor. Imo the gtx1080 is a waste for only 1080p75hz. Getting a 1070 instead and going to 1080p144hz or 1440p60 or 144hz would be much better

I own both, and prefer the 502. 

I have a 502. the sensor is amazing, the clicks feel very satisfying, and all the extra buttons are proper mechanical switches. It is a bit on the heavy side though.
 
I don't know how it compares to the corsair one.
 
But I would recomend getting a mouse pad.

IF they gave  5-year no-matter-what warranty, it would have been just fine, but with the 1-year limited hardware warranty, this is complete BS

I think I might know the reason behind this. First off, shut the computer off but don't leave. See if you see the computer booting back up. If it does it right away, its most likely fast boot. I had a problem like this and the solution was simply to turn off fast boot. Try this http://acer-in.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/37059/~/windows-10%3A-enable-or-disable-fast-startup. After you turned off fast boot try and shutdown the computer again and see if the problem persists.
 

Thought it would be fun to make a topic about, all of our experiences with all the people, who doesn't really understand all the tech.
Note: Don't make this too harsh on them. You need to help them, not yell at them.
I'll go first:
So my mom has a daycare. And one day I am sitting on the floor with my laptop. And one of the kids, with real dirty hands come and put his hand on the screen. Guess he thought it was a touch screen. Still haven't gotten it off, and it was 3 months ago.
My grandmother is scared of getting rid of the computer, because she thinks it will cut the power to her house.

I used to work at a computer shop for IT support and service. Whenever something is wrong with the machine, they'll always ask if it's a virus or not. If the shortcut on the desktop is gone, they would think all of their data on the computer are gone.
My mum isn't non-techy but she just double clicks on EVERYTHING she wants to open. That includes links and buttons on the web browser. She would double click on the Google searches to open them too and I got really annoyed watching her using the computer at some point of my life.
I have another one but it's not really non-techies. My friend is a photographer but not much of a computer guy so he bought a netbook(yes, those 10-inches) and brought it to college. Apparently he actually used that netbook to edit photo and do his work. I remember him posting a comment which he thinks tiny computer are less powerful(true to some extent).

I remember back in after-school-club (Direct translation from danish (atleast what we called it)) when people played racing games on the playstation 1, and they sat and turned the controller. Motion controls, now with 100% less motion control.

People thinking they can download RAM....

my aunt who is constantly complaining about her slow Pentium 4 computer, and when people tell her to buy a new one already, she says "no its fine."

So, here's my experiences, that I can come to think of now:
 
- After I've fixed a computer for a friend or relative, they always blame me for every future problem.
- Two guys were talking in an MMORPG I used to play, and one of them said that he overclocked his hard drive and his computer is now more than twice as fast.
- Whenever I tell someone that I like computers and technology, they always assume I just post stuff on Facebook and play Farmville all day long.
- My mom freak out every time an email from someone she doesn't know, slips through the spam filter and end up in her inbox. Something worth mentioning is that she use hotmail, so she freaks out a lot.
