  1. Cats are assholes... that why I'm a dog kinda guy myself.
  2. Pretty much what he said. For the keyboard, just get something else but Razer. Take a look at Ducky and CM's keyboards for instance. For the mouse take a look at the Logitech G403 (it looks a lot better than the G502 and it performs just as good).
  3. Why do you ask? I plan on keeping both atm but if I had to chose only one to keep then it would be the KÛL ES-87 for two main reasons: the KÛL got 65g tactile Zealios which imo are better than the Cherry MX Reds on the Shine 5, I prefer them over Red for sure. And the KÛL is a TKL which I also tend to prefer over fullsize keyboards. I might sell or trade my DS5 someday.
  4. Hey folks. I'm looking for a decent quality large cloth mousepad. Something large enough to fit a fullsize keyboard and still have some space left for the mouse to move around (I'm a low sensivity user). I would prefer something more inclined to "control" rather than "speed", I'd like something that offers a tiny bit of resistance when moving the mouse. My current mouse is a Logitech G403 Prodigy (wired) in case you're wondering. No fancy designs please... I think I'd like something all black or in a scale of grey/white. Stitched edges aren't a must but they would be welcome. My current mouse pad is a Steelseries QcK XXL and while it's still serving me well enough I feel I'm not being as precise as I'd like while gaming compared to how I was before... I might have fucked up the cloth after a few cleans or something. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. I love the case. This will turn out to be a great looking build, I'm sure. Keep us posted... now I want to see the end result!
  6. Nope. It came with one of those white translucent ABS keysets. Like this: That's the stock set. I don't mind not having the backlight on so I decided to change the caps for a bunch of ones I had laying around... it's a mix of a couple different caps, mostly cheap Tai-Hao caps.
  7. My Magicforce 68 was delivered today. I got this from Massdrop a few months back. Some pictures:
  8. They've been saying that in what, a full year now? Lol... is it me or Asus is coming a little late to the RGB party?
  9. You're not right. It seems to me that you're simply trying to justify going for that Logitech keyboard. If you like it, then go for it. I don't think it's worth the price... but you might like the experience, we never know. There's still Logitech keyboards with Cherry MX switches to chose from though (the G610), but they're not RGB like the ones that come with Romer-G's.
  10. True, yes, you can. But that's on normal Kailh switches (the ones that are "clones" of the Cherry MX switches). You can't swap keycaps on the QS1 switches that are in the Steelseries M800 keyboards though, these aren't Cherry MX compatible.
  11. Don't get me wrong man but pretty much anybody that is into the mechanical keyboard hobby (myself included) will tell you to avoid Kailh (QS1) and Logitech (Romer-G) switches. None of these two allow for keycaps customization and to be honest the keyboards themselfs are nothing to brag about. You're paying way too much for the quality you're getting. Cherry MX switches are the way to go (Gaterons are good aswell). Where did you heard of these chattering issues with the Cherry MX switches and what makes you think that QS1 and Romer-G switches are chatter-free? Chattering can happen one pretty much any mechanical keyboard (except maybe on Topre since it's a mix of rubber domes and "mechanical"). I've had like 9 keyboards with Cherry MX switches and I've never had a single key with chatter in ANY of them.
  12. That keyboard is not worth the price in my opinion. I've had the opportunity to try one out at a local store and the switches feel like crap tbh. Go with Cherry MX Reds if you want a keyboard with a linear switch. These don't compare to Cherry MX in feel or sound in any way (and probably in quality too). Plus, you'll be stuck with the stock keyset forever since no manufacturer makes keysets that are compatible with those switches (QS1). And the board comes with a non-standard bottom row too. I would avoid if I was you.
  13. Two new photos I took today: Ducky Shine 5 with Cherry MX Reds and a Tai-Hao set, White w/Black font (doubleshot ABS). And this is the keyboard I'm using right now. It's a KÛL ES-87 with 65g tactile Zealios, blue top case and a Vortex doubleshot PBT (White/Blue) keyset. The mouse is a Logitech G403 (Prodigy series, wired). It's a pretty good mouse imo.
  14. I like pretty lights alright... don't judge please. New board came in today. It's a Ducky Shine 5 with Cherry MX Reds (ISO-ES). The keyboard came with two spacebars so I took the one that was originally on the Shine 5 and replaced it with the "goat" spacebar. Then I put the original spacebar in my CM MasterKeys Pro S. Here's the result: It doesn't look as bright/shine as much as it does on the Shine 5 because the Pro S only have a single led on the spacebar (the one on the switch) and the Ducky have 3 leds. But I like how it looks anyway. Ducky Shine 5 lighshow.mp4
