I couldn't resist.
Repasting improved temps by 8 degrees which is pretty massive tbh. It's the difference between loud and quiet to me. Here's a screenshot.
The card looked like it was never disassembled / repasted by the owner since the little EVGA sticker that covered a screw was untampered with. Not anymore
So a repasting was bound to help, but I'm surprised it did so this much.
I used Gelid GC-Extreme Thermal Paste, it's not as well known but it's up there with MX-4 and the stuff that comes with your noctua coolers.
Tagging @Moonzy here because reasons.

Good shit!

@HairlessMonkeyBoy I might in the future, for this I wanted to keep the test consistent with the last test I did before repasting, which was the same config (both sets of fans at 100%, stock clocks/voltage, +20% power limit).
I also know for sure I'm going to run into the power limit because for this card it's only 300W (the FTW2 should be quite a bit higher).
But overclocking will be done as soon as I can use it (my 4K monitor arrives next week).

That makes sense
Quotethe FTW2 should be quite a bit higher
It's higher than it could ever hit. 130% IIRC.
Funny story, there is a little switch on top of the card that swaps between the regular and performance BIOS. The regular BIOS has a power limit of like 108% or something. Didn't even notice the switch until like a year after I bought the card. My mind was blown lol.
