  1. Currently using a DeathAdder, a hand-me-down blackwidow with some of the letters rubbed off, and a pair of cheap skullcandy earbuds. But worst of all, I'm mousepad-less D:
  2. Just an update, these upgrades turned out to be just what I was looking for. Thanks again!
  3. Thank you! I'll make sure to include a budget next time. $302.48 actually just happens to fit into my planned budget, and I hadn't considered a Xeon. Thanks again!
  4. Hello! I'm looking into getting a new motherboard and CPU, since my current ones came out of a pre-built HP Pavilion. My current build is: CPU: AMD A8-5500 (According to CPU-Z, I need to double check) Motherboard: MSI-7778 "Jasmine" RAM: 8GB DDR3 GPU: PNY XL8R Performance Edition GeForce GTX 960 PSU: Thermaltake 725W HDDs: 320GB Toshiba boot drive, 1TB WD Blue I would like to be able to do video editing, as well as play games like Fallout 4 and Borderlands 2, which are currently getting 30 and 20 fps, respectively. I suspect the CPU is currently bottlenecking my graphics card, but I'm not sure. Suggestions?
  5. I'm almost scared to consider insufficient cooling, because if that's the problem I'm pretty much up a creek. Almost everything inside the G20 is proprietary, so I can't do a whole lot for cooling. I mean, look at the thing: http://www.asus.com/Microsite/rog/GR8_G20/
  6. Hello LTT Forums! This is my first post, and I need your help. So here's the situation; For Christmas, my girlfriend's father bought her an Asus ROG G20 compact tower from best buy. The specs are Core i5-4460 Asus GeForce GTX 750 The system is designed to allow for the use of two external power bricks, one 230W and one 180W. Best Buy, in their infinite wisdom, only packages their models with the 230W. It runs fine, until you run any game above medium settings, or you run any game with PhysX effects. Then it runs for up to 30 minutes, then the screen turns to a solid, random color (it's been green, purple, and blue so far) and the system shuts down, or the system just shuts down outright, depending on the game. My theory is that the system isn't getting enough power, so when things get intense it shuts down, but I wanted to get outside opinions, since the second power supply is between $60-80 USD, and I'm not made of money. Thanks in advance!
