25" ultrawides are tiny. I would say to avoid them.

For mostly games I'd say the ultra wide.
Just because some games will make use of the extra width you get with a 21:9 monitor.
Whereas with two 16:9 monitors, you can only ever use one as your primary one for games.

This stuff is for people to build, not machines.
Just keep your cool, stay calm, and watch some YouTube tutorials.

I would add however,
I use a 2560x1440p monitor, with a secondary 1080p one off to the side to hold random stuff.
And I looked up the ultrawide you've mentioned.
I would recommend looking at a 3440x1440 ultra wide.
(I really don't like going back to only 1080p at work, I miss the extra height I get from 1440p).

georgeLH reacted to 8-Bit Ninja in Can you do a Red/Black/White Build?
Please don't get a white mouse pad, they are horrible to keep clean. Do yourself a favor and get a black one

i mean you can always paint them, but yeh more white cards wouldn't be a bad thing. Msi made one white card but no back-plate ruined it for me

Ah damn.
I was just about to link this one:
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/34-lg-34um88c-ultra-wide-monitor-ips-panel-3440x1440-5ms-speakers-displayport-v12-2xhdmi-20-headphon
About £160 more than the one in your title. (https://www.scan.co.uk/products/34-lg-34um68-ultrawide-219-amd-freesync-2560x1080-ips-14ms-2x-7w-speakers-dp-v12-2x-hdmi-v14-black)
If you could stretch the extra, you'll love it and never go back to only 1080p again

Wait hold on, I just looked up the first of the two options you're asking about, and they're both the same resolution?
(Sorry I assumed the 2x monitors were 16:9 as that's usually the common question).
I use two 24" 1080p monitors in work, and for coding/working they're pretty good.
Now I know they're both the same res I'm not so sure on my original recommendation.
I'd probably go for the 2x monitors, more places to put other windows is good (as long as you have the desk space)

Yeah, I'd get the 2x 25"
The 25" also has 5ms response time much better, compared to the 34" 14ms. (though the 34 has Freesync).

georgeLH reacted to WoctorDho in Buying Windows 10 Home - any options?
I'm not sure the legality of buying windows 10 keys from kinguin but I can confirm that it is reliable. I've bought two windows 10 pro keys and they have been working fine for months now.

Kinguin is a very good option, if you want extra peace of mind you can get buyer protection for like two bucks.

georgeLH reacted to meenmeen1103 in Motherboard doesn't recognize drives and USB devices
Yeah, you want to get the mobo acting normally before making it try to communicate with everything
-
georgeLH reacted to meenmeen1103 in Motherboard doesn't recognize drives and USB devices
That doesn't seem like normal behavior from the mobo (device detection). Maybe the BIOS reset didn't take? Sometimes takes longer than 15min. I'd try that again and also reverting to factory settings within the BIOS

Just keep in mind that you'll have to upgrade to DDR4 RAM in addition to your mobo.

Quick solution: Do you actually need the front audio ports? If not, just leave the cable unplugged.

georgeLH reacted to Sreno1 in Need help to buy parts
You shouldn't recommend people buying a full priced windows key. He should just go on Kinguin and get a $30 one.

A lot of hassle for a few frames a second, just depends if you need the extra performance or not.
