A cherry mx blue switch mechanical keyboard for my Mom. She's an assistant who has a rubber dome keyboard and doesn't know why I payed a lot for my keyboard by saying there's "no benefit to an expensive keyboard" until recently when I let her type on mine. Screen all messed up - HP Pavilion Touchsmart 23

I can't even get into Windows anymore. A friend brought it over because it has been sitting in a closet for the last 1-2 years, and he wants to get it working again, but he found out it didn't work. I think it's hardware issue, b/c no usb power or anything when I turn it on. No beeps or anything, just black screen no usb power. -
I've opened it up and checked the LVDS Connector and it seems to be in there just fine. I don't get a BIOS splashscreen, the screen doesn't turn on right away, it takes like 20 minutes or so then this screen pops up with Windows, and it's all messed up. It is a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 23. With an AMD A8 FM2 Socket APU for CPU and GPU Edit: I was able to get a second monitor working fine with no artifacts or anything with a USB to DVI/HDMI adapter.

Alright I tried it. So i unplugged the second monitor (the hp one) and the primary monitor started doing the weird thing so i connected it into another port and it still did it. I tried a vga cord but that didnt work either.

No, but I am trying a vga cord now. Im using a dvi-d cord for both monitors. I have to use a dvi to vga adapter though because there is only 2 dvi ports, 1 dp, and 1 hdmi

Hi guys! So I was working and this happened... The screen on the left started going crazy and the one on the right was working fine. I even could use it to look up a solution to the problem. So I restarted it (hit the reset switch) thinking that would fix it. It did, but once is was up and running for 5 minutes it happened again. The primary monitor (the one of the right dell) works fine I can use my computer, but the second one did this strange thing. I've tried troubleshooting by connecting the monitor to a different port on the GPU by switching the display ports on both monitors. Then the Dell one did this and not the HP one. I've tried reinstalling drivers. Is the gpu port bad or...? Specs: AMD A-10 5800k AMD R9 270X 8GB corsair vengeance 1866mhz ram Asus f2a85v-pro mobo Samsung 120GB SSD WD Caviar black 1tb corsair cx750m psu Latest AMD 14.7 drivers The monitors are HP 2009m and Dell 2001FP Windows 8.1 64-bit Pictures

My favorite thing about the ASUS RoG G550JK has the be the IO on the laptop and the aluminum build of it. It's so good!
